A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...






Conflict and turmoil faces the Galactic Republic. The Trade Federation's hostile takeover of Naboo had only been the start of something much bigger and much worse. The Galaxy is being thrown headfirst into the start of a civil war as the Separatists are revealed. They have begun to convince planets to secede from the Republic and join the new and growing Confederacy. First seen as just a threatening problem, the Separatists have at last proven the gravity of the situation after the assassination of Supreme Chancellor Valorum. Even worse, some worlds have started to be taken by force.

As the Senate scrambles to find new leadership and make plans for the oncoming war, the Republic Army begins to grow in numbers and train for land and space combat. The Jedi are also preparing to assist the Republic, but they may be facing something much larger than any of the Council members may have even thought. After the reveal of Darth Maul on Naboo, they now know that the Dark Side has risen once more and the Sith are back in the Galaxy. Only one of the two Jedi to have fought him during the Battle of Naboo came back alive, but he managed to kill the Sith.

Unfortunately, questions still remain. Was Maul the Master or the Apprentice? Who and where is the other Sith? And who will now be the second to take his place? The Council also wonders after the prophecy of the Chosen One, who has yet to be found or revealed. In the upcoming Age of War, will the Republic remain strong and the light side ultimately prevail?

Welcome to Star Wars: The Age of War!

This is an Alternate Universe roleplay, where the beginning time frame takes place just after The Phantom Menace. However, things may or may not turn out this time the same way it does in the movies. That is up for you to decide!

This AU rp will start in the times of civil war with the Separatists beginning to make their moves. It will continue up to and through the Clone Wars.

The result of the Clone Wars, as I've mentioned, may or may not be the same. Perhaps this time the Republic will win out, the Sith will be crushed, and peace will remain. Maybe the Republic will win and the Sith will remain and fight the Jedi more. Who knows? It will unfold as new members bring on characters and fight for either sides.

New, non-canon members are acceptable and encouraged. It is actually tougher to obtain a canon member, and then it's up for you to decide where they go after this. Perhaps Anakin Skywalker does not succumb to the Dark Side this time. Maybe there is a different Chosen One. Again, this will play out.
