Another late night with nothing but emptiness. A dark filled sky brings nothing but darkness and loneliness through out this damn city every damn night. Its something kazuma enjoyed most bout being on patrol at night alone, nothing really bothers him, let alone hollow. Though, that was one of the main reasons for being here, to kill hollow. One of these days he would learn..tonight just wasn't going to be that night.

Kazuma stood tall atop of a steel beam on a unfinished construction site looking down upon some of the area around him.His arms where folding and the expression on his face was quite a bored one. Not one sign of a hollow anywhere far as he could tell. Knowing this, he knew this was going to be a long night.

"Damn....this became quite boring....maybe i should just leave..." He sighed for a brief second before jumping higher into the air trying to get a higher view of the things around him.

" Well might as well call it a day...or night....whatever time it is."

Niwa landed on top of a near by building and layed down on the cold concrete ground and looked up at the sky. "Nap time? I think it is!" He yelled to himself as he closed his eyes.

That is what he did on patrol most of the time. Sleep. Who can blame him? he worked hard, he deserved rest right?

[[OOC: Hope you don't mind if I jump in]]
---

Karakura Town was a strange place, a place of spiritual energy, of conflicting views and races who fought over everything and nothing. The whims of titans resulted in countless deaths -be they human, Shinigami or Hollow- and each and every time Karakura Town was a little bit more destroyed, a little more decimated. If the beings who lived here with that kind of power had any decency they'd move on, yet they didn't. For Karakura was a strange town.
And this part of the town was no different.
A construction site, one of many true but possibly the largest one in the town for the time being, and as a result a current high-pressure source of spiritual energy, not the least of which was because of the beings that were there on this very late night. For the Shinigami -who was, for the moment, unnoticed by one of the other players for the evening- was not the only one who lamented the loneliness of this place.

"Very little here to attract attention," a soft voice spoke to the night air, a voice issuing from a tall man who sat still on the edge of one of the floors of one of the buildings, his feet dangling over the edge like they could not have done if this floor wasn't so unfinished, "Very little to draw the eye, yet I felt it and I know you did as well, Swain."
It was not obvious who he was speaking to, it was as though he was talking to someone only he could hear for he cocked his head to one side for a moment as though listening before nodding in agreement.
"Yes," he said simply, eyes now scanning the ground below himself, "It may be mindless but that's no reason to join it's level. Maybe it moved on howe-

The stillness of the moment, the somberness of the mood and the softness of the words that this man was saying were shattered in an instant by a cry from nearby, a cry that seemed to come from above and to his right. It was a unique cry, not a scream but a shout, a yell, an announcement of boredom and for -and the man was not 100% sure he had heard this right- 'nap time'.
Were this one not so interested in his quarry he would have gone to investigate, for the chances it was simply a teenage hooligan was on par with it being a trap or one of his ilk, but it was at that exact moment a low roar echoed from below, and the man's attention was drawn downwards to the sight he had been waiting for.

A Hollow.

It was a fairly low-ranked Hollow, barely a Menos in any level and definitely no stronger than a Gillian, and yet it had been this man's quarry all night for it was more elusive than it appeared. True, the man had had many chances to kill it but he had thought it would be more fun -a rare thought for him- to track it instead, follow its progress through the city and then eliminate it when it moved to a far enough location. And out here seemed suitable.
Standing slowly, the man reached his left hand to the hilt of a sword on one hip then smiled to himself. Without any hesitation he stepped off the air and down it as though descending down solid steps and, as he did he let a faint trace of his spiritual energy emit from his body - enough to alert the Hollow below of his presence but not enough to scare it away. It was time to end this game and go return to more pressing matters...

((Not at all. Just looking to post happy.gif))

"Huh"

He said softly opening his eyes slowly now slightly aggravated . He knew his nap time was over already. The simple fact that he knew he wasn't gonna be able to get a quick nap in was out of the question, he knew from the very moment he closed his eyes, a nap was out of the question. He knew once he got in a comfortable position to take a damn nap was out of the damn question. So why he decided to take a nap? Who the feck knows.

"Well....that was a waste of fucking time." he said rising to his feet, dusting himself off ever so lazily. He adjusted his sword on his left side and looked around. He definitely knew that fucking yell anywhere, it was a yell of something he would want and needed to kill to let off to steam tonight. The one thing he knew wouldn't bore him at all at this very moment was to slay the only fucking thing that kepted him from his nap.

That damn hollow.

Kazuma quickly walked toward a building edge where he heard the hollows faint yell and looked down.

"Well hot damn...looks like your the lucky winner tonight. I'm gonna pick you off like-" he suddenly stopped. after realizing the hollow wasn't even paying him no mind at all was something he found very weird. He glance over in the hollows general direction only to notice a man walking toward him. Ready to kill by the looks of it to.

"What the hell?!" he muttered to himself, gripping the hilt of his blade with his right hand quickly. "Why didn't i sense him around? i wasn't that sleep was i? shit!"

Kazuma jumped into the air, stepping on it as it instantly solidified itself under his feet. "HEY! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"He yelled. Oh he was pissed. Very pissed. Now he knew why he didn't get no rest at all. This son of a bitch disturbed it. Now he was the one that was going to pay.

His right hand still gripped on to the hilt of his blade ready for anything. For he knew, this was just a wanna be 'hollow killer' trying to take his fun away. Why not make quick and easy work and be done with him eh?

He was ready and waiting for the unknown man to reply. Cause either way, he was going to fucked up tonight.

The call from behind Tenken -for that was this man's name- was fairly unexpected, not overly so but enough to make him raise an eyebrow to himself as he turned, though his expression returned to homeostasis soon enough. The voice of the man he had heard announce it was nap-time was the voice he had heard call him, was the voice that was apparently challenging him and as Tenken completed his rotation was a voice that belonged to a strangely familaiar face, the face of someone Tenken had not seen in over a year, the face of a person who's entire race was likely on orders to kill Tenken and his new racial compatriors on sight, or at least attempt to do so.

During his time as the Captain of the Sixth Division -the Strategists Division- Tenken had had to have a fairly good knowledge of all of the people around Seireitei and within the Gotei 13 and so the face of Kazuma Niwa was not unfamiliar to him. The face of the man who Tenken's friend -well, probably ex-friend now- Akajin Akechi had been wanting to promote days before Tenken had disappeared was known to him only because he had scoped the man out himself before leaving. Thankfully it was probably unlikely that Kazuma himself knew of Tenken though, at least visually since many people had known of him, being a Captain and all.
"Hello there," Tenken said to the man, keeping his voice quite neutral as a greeting, "My name is Atsuyoshi, may I inquire as to yours?"

For now, he would keep his distance, both physically and otherwise, and he was in no way intimidated by the other man's hand on his sword, for he was doing the exact same thing, though with the Hollow in mind.
Which was getting away, but he'd ignore that for now.

Ghataria rubbed his eyes as he turned in his bed. The past few nights, sleep seemed like a fleeting commodity. Of course, his parent sanctioned curfew settled in at ten or so, but they went to bed around midnight or one, and were out cold shortly afterward. Well, on this particular night, Ghataria figured that he could walk around town, at least until he got tired. After all, he had never really seen the town at night, and he figured that tonight, one that he didn't have school the following day, would be rather ideal for his little excursion into the wilds of Karakura nightlife.

Well, that all happened a good while ago, and about an hour after the trip started, he had begun to grow tired finally, and was headed back towards his family's home, going along what seemed to be the fastest way back. Walking, he saw a man walking about, although the air seemed to be albeit wavy and fluctuated slightly. He had always seen ghosts since he could remember, but since he arrived in town, his perception of them had grown noticeably stronger, although he couldn't really tell why. He wondered who the man was talking to as he spoke, clearly not being able to see either Kazuma, or for that matter, see the more pressing threat of the Hollow in their midst, giving him a keen disadvantage to this whole deal.

He was clearly looking at this 'Atsuyoshi' fellow, seeing what he would do, blissfully unaware of the danger of the current situation.

Landing nimbly Mitsunari span through and followed up the head height slash with a strike to the knee before reassuming his stance. He much preferred fnding a quiet place in Karakura to some of the locations in Seireitei at times, if only for the privacy. It was a shame that he wouldn't get it tonight though.
He heard a familiar voice mentioning a nap... Kazuma Niwa, 7th Vice captain. Well, he could go ahead, if he wasn't distracting him from his practise he could do as he wanted. Then he heard an even more familiar voice and sensed the individual's presence a mere few seconds later. A voice that he hadn't expected at all. Eyes widening and knuckles turning white, he sheathed his blade and dropped down, effortlessly traversing the girders until he dropped down towards the pair. "Former sixth division captain, Atsuyoshi Tenken." He stated calmly, looking at the Vizard from behind, a curious look on his face. With his blue haori flapping in the wind he was stood on the safety fence for the construction site with his arms crossed. "It's good to see you again captain." A faint smile crossed his face as he continued to regard the man, his single brown eye glinting. He spared the hollow a side long glance as it attempted to slink away. "So, we gonna draw straws to decide who's gonna take that feck down or what?"

Well this was... actually rather annoying, as an extremely familiar reiatsu permeated the area nearby, forcing Tenken to raise his gaze from the man in front of him who was ready to attack, to a man Tenken knew all too well.
Mitsunari.
For a long moment as Mitsunari introduced Tenken as who he was, the former-Shinigami, former-Gotei 13 captain simply stared, expressionless at the man who had once been his Vice-Captain without a word, simply looking into those eyes after a quick glance to take in the appearance before him. The blue Haori, the straight hair and the calm, confident gaze; yes, Mitsunari was doing quite well on the outside it seemed, and while Tenken could look for any number of the tics he had learned of his former Vice he couldn't be bothered. He would rather just defuse a potentially awkward situation instead.

"Mitsunari," he said with a nod and a small smile, a mysterious smile, "You seem well. I take it you're keeping everything running smoothly?"
Idle chit-chat, banter, conversation; that was all Tenken would engage in with his former-Vice in front of this other Vice. After all Soul Society had no idea that Tenken and his three brethren were still technically alive, or at least they hadn't known but they would now, and it was doubtful that they'd know what had happened to them in full.
No, as far as Soul Society should know, Tenken and his comrades were simply MIA from Hueco Mundo, nothing more.
Or so the Vizard hoped.
His attention shifted again, slightly, moving from the two Shinigami in front of him to the Hollow he had been tracking this night, or at least the absence of it. Seriously, where did that thing go?

Great, yet another headache to worry about on a night that had been, up until a few moments ago, peaceful.

Ghataria slightly stood there for a few moments, trying to discern exactly who this man was talking to, still unawares to the danger of the situation. He continued walking, his path putting him in the position to pass Tenken, as he continued on his way. As the conglomerate of haze finally lifted slightly, signaling the Hollow''s momentary disappearance, he decided that now would probably be the most opportune time to "cross," so to speak. His swift, small strides had him walking across the pavement and sidewalk, on a near collision course with Tenken. There was just this... air to him that did not sit well with him, and against his better judgment and fear out of what his parents might do if they found him up this late, he decided to go for the pass.

As he passed, probably below the man's radar, he humbly and in his fifteen year old cheerful voice, bid the man "Good Evening, Sir." As he passed on, he wasn't sure what was to happen, but he still felt unease about that haze that had simply disappeared, wondering what exactly that entity, whatever it was, was. He had felt things like it in the past, but due to his inability to fully see the creatures, the fog of some spiritual entity was all he saw.

Hopefully, tonight was not his last time seeing one.

(Note, he has not left the topic. He is merely on his way out. Expect at least one more reply from him before he leaves if nothing happens to befall him (say, the hollow or something goes after him)).

"Kazuma Niwa, thats my name." he said eagerly. Was this a enemy or not? It was something he still didn't know at this point. He wasn't going to let his guard down just because the man asked for his name. For all he knew it was some kind of trick

"Wait a minute, Atsuyoshi?!?"

That was a name that sounded familiar.. He just couldn't put his finger on it. Maybe he was playing mind games trying to throw the vice captain of his tracks. 'Haha' If it was a trick he was doing a damn good job of doing it.

Kazuma released the grip on his blade just as he saw Mitsunari arrive on the scene. The it getting to be bothersome, now there no way possible hes going to be getting his sleep on in this time around. What a night this turned out to be.

"Captain??" he yelled. He stared at mitsunari slowly shifting his eyes toward Atsuyoshi, or should we now say, Captain Atsuyoshi.

"Your the Captain Atsuyoshi?!? Unbelievable! Your alive? You vanished years ago didn't you?" He was surprised to see a captain of his reputation around. but he still wasn't sure why he felt uneasy about him.

"My captain spoke of you before many times in stories he told when he was drunk. What happened to you after all this years??" Kazuma knew he had to get answers, cause he knew nobody else had them. Jin was going to be interested in this.

Woah, where the hell did that guy come from? From the feeling of energy he was giving off he wasn't strong, hell it was almost like he was powerless and yet he could clearly see Tenken right now in his non-Gigai'd form, so he had to have some reiatsu. Still, power wasn't everything and even though the human -Tenken assumed- was young there was no need to not be polite.
"Good evening," he said with a polite incline of his head, a nod it would be called in some circles, "Quite a quiet night it seems, doesn't it?"
Ah, but of course after he said that the Vice-Captain of the 7th interjected with some falsities, so Tenken had to correct him.

Turning his attention from the boy with an apologetic shrug -he assumed the boy could see the Shinigami here too, for he was exuding a reiatsu about on par with them and there wasn't that much of a di- ok, yes there was but that wasn't important, he just assumed the boy could see them as well.
Not sure if it was correct, but whatever.
"Yes, I'm alive," he said with a quirked eyebrow at Mitsunari, "And it was one year ago, Niwa-san, not years. I suppose the Gotei still need their information checked out, I suppose the 2nd Division needs some cleaning up, or maybe the 8th. Either way, what happened to me was... unpleasant and I wont be saying much else, let's just say I have no wish to fight either of you two gentlemen tonight, not when there is a perfectly serviceable Hollow on the loo- Where did it go?"

He looked around then, noticing finally that amidst all the meetings and return-greetings that the Hollow he had been tracking had summararily disappeared.
How irksome, hopefully it wasn't just lurking.

Kazuma didn't know what to say. Clearly the ex-captain didn't want any troubles from him nor the other vice captain tonight, but they where both bound to duty and that was something they must uphold no matter what.

"Im....im sorry captain.." Kazuma drew his blade from its sheath slowly and held it tight in his right hand.

"Im under the orders of the 13 Gotei, better yet from my Captain..." He had begun his walk toward the captain with his eyes now fixated on him. He had to do his job, this much he knew. How long would he stand up to a captain was about to become a great mystery to him, but of course he knew, he knew that he had a job to do rather he liked it or not.

" To take you into custody for further questioning! Please just come with us quietly and we can assume you we will put in a good word. " a brief smile appeared on kazuma's face and disappeared just as fast as it came. Hopefully he was gonna be the good guy like he is and just come to sereitei with the vice captain, or should he say, 'Vice Captains'. He glances over at the other vice and hoped he knew to do that right thing at this point. If not, kazuma knew he was gonna be in it alone. No back-up, no support.

Kazuma stopped about 10 feet away from the captain and stood tall. He didn't want to appear threatening but he hoped Captain Atsuyoshi understood where he was coming from.

" I hope you do the right thing..Lot of people have questions back at home."

"Hmmm?"
Having tuned out of the conversation for the moment in order to visually track where the Hollow had gone, Tenken had missed the first part of the Vice-Captain's words, the part where he apologised and such and so when he turned back to look at the man -sparing a quick glance for the human who hadn't even reacted when he had seen Tenken with a sword, let alone now one was bared at him- one eyebrow raised slightly as he saw that he was now being threatened and his eyebrows climbed higher as Kazuma nicely explained their orders and how he should go back with them to the Gotei. Put a good word in? That was amusing, two Vice-Captains vouching for a former-Captain who was now wanted for who-exactly-knows-what kind of trumped up charges. No, Tenken was no fool.

"I don't think that would be a good idea," he said slowly, eyes fixed on Kazuma's more than the blade and as he spoke it was clear he was weighing each word carefully in his head before he said it, "Any kind of 'trial' that I would undergo would be a sham - I would be knocked out cold, paraded in front of several judges then sentenced to execution, though that would never happen either. It would be faked, then I would be transported in secret to a laboratory where I would be experimented on until my body evaporated under the strain of the thousands of tests I would have endured. No, thank you Kazuma-san," he put his own hand on his blade as he finished, eyes set and he spared a momentary glance at Mitsunari too, "But I am in no mood to experience more pain than I have already had to."

A soft roar rang out then as well, behind Tenken, an evident reminder that the Hollow was still out there...

((tried waiting for mitsu))

Kazuma knew that would have been to easy. Atsuyoshi, being that well known captain that he was, wouldn't be a amateur when it came to fighting his own kind. He had to think of a plan, just so far nothing was coming to mind. He had no way of contacting Soul society and letting them know what he had found. For once he should have brought that damn cell phone he liked so much. This was one of those times this would have saved him a lot of trouble.

Experimentation on other Shinigami? In Soul society? Was he telling the truth? It was something he didn't want to believe about what the captain said would happen, he just could help but wonder why he was lie about such a thing. At this point, it didn't matter. Either way it went he had to complete he job. He was now a enemy and could not be trusted.

He shook his head and replied in force." Then im afraid... im going to have to take you down and drag your ass back to Soul Society! "

He took a firm fighting stance, rising his blade, he pointed the tip of his sword toward Atsuyoshi himself. He was about to engage in battle, with very little chance he was going to be able to take him down. Maybe, just maybe, he had a chance. Knowing kazuma, he was about to complete his new mission with any means necessary. Now he just hopes it doesn't get him killed

"Lets go!"

Kazuma dashes forward toward the enemy, the former captain, with his blade outward in front of him attempting to pierce to captain in the torso. He knew it was a long shot and very easy to read, but it was the only way to throw off the captain from what he was about to do next.

Tenken's eyes widened slightly, an eyebrow raising at the same time, when Kazuma declared his intention to bring Tenken in 'with force'. That seemed rash, far too rash honestly, since the other man did now know he had been a Captain of the Gotei 13 and even though it had been a year he was hardly likely to have lost all of his powers and skills. Was rushing in and attacking really the best bet? Probably not - in fact definitely not and Tenken spared a glance for his currently action-less former Vice-Captain before he turned his attention back to Kazuma, who was apparently very intent on taking Tenken in. So intent on it in fact that his intentions had clouded his words and judgement enough to attack. Seriously...

Kazuma's incoming rush was quick enough, enough that Tenken didn't really have time to just lollygag and consider all the random things he wanted to. No, he drew his blade and tensed his legs, kicking forwards in the small window of time between Kazuma getting within about five metres of Tenken and actually hitting him. As a result of closing at such short-range the two blades locked, Tenken not engaging all of his prodigous strength as he could but instead simply blocked and held, eyes unreadable as he looked at the attacking Shinigami.
"And how, pray tell," he said in a low voice, "Would killing me be an acceptable way to 'bring me in'? Use your head, Shinigami, if you're going to bring me in as you say you don't start with an attack that can kill, do you? Try again!"
Tensing he pushed with his sword as hard as he could, aiming to push the Shinigami back so he could try again, if he wished.

His smile growing slightly Mitsunari nodded. "Smooth as the surface of my blade... though the paperwork's a bitch at times." He chuckled, scratching his chin and enjoyng his former captain's company for the moment. Hearing Kazuma yell he drooped his hand down to his side with a sigh, shaking his head slightly, though a playful grin croseed his face. "Looks like you've found yourself a fan Captain." He noted, giving a playful wink. However the smie face as he heard the vice-captain's next words. "Oh fuck." He whispered to himself dropping down between the pair. Looking first at Kazuma he took a few steps towards his fellow shinigami and leaned a little closer. "Not a good idea. He doesn't want a fight with us and I sure as hell don't want one with him." He stated in a low voice that was ever so near a whisper. "Don't worry though, I've got a plan." He then turned to Tenken. "Captain Atsuyoshi Tenken, you appear to have three options. You can agree to come quietly, we could fight and face the consequences that would arise or..." He looked at Kazuma for a moment. He was going to hate this one. "You could assist us in dealing with that hollow and answer a few questions that I have for you and we let you go. Deal?" He didn't want to fight his former captain, both because he was a better fighter and because he was his captain. Wrapping his right hand around his blade he reached out slightly with his reiatsu. Bingo, hollow located.
