Hi There
I have a quick question. Does the Blood Dragon list in the back of the book use the 6th or 7th edition Bret. rules
Thanks
Mark

It was written with 6th in mind, but should really be used with 7th as all updates do now, though this may cause conflicts.

As said it was written for 6th buty I'd use the 7th edition rule set.
Although the 6th edition lance looked great and was amazing on the field it just doesn't fit well in to the game. Since its an appendix list that you have to ask permission for anyways I think this is the kind of thing you should discuss before hand.

Well, it does just say use the lance rules. It gives no cause to what they actualy are, so yes use the new ones. and anyway, thety are a lot easyer and more realistic.

Easier, yes. More realistic? I beg to differ. The original lance was meant to be a recreation of the cavalry wedge formation.

Yes but the lance formation was also amazing in defense due to the fact that it lacked flanks. Which is not really true of the cavalry lance formation in historical battles.

True. But as a formation, it was far more realistic. But If we're going for realistic formations, we should be able to make spear/pike-units go into hedgehog-formation.

If we wanted realstic formations why the hell are we playing Warhammer :P
I do admit the old lance looked 100 times better than the new one and GW admitted that, its a shame its just too much of a rule problem to have.
