Dear Folks

Not that dire wolves are any use (and I hate the current models which just look like they have the mange) but one suggestion that for gamers to make them look like a "pack" is to configure them like a pack. For example, dogs don't run straight, they bump into each other (and you!) in zig zags as they race along. My examples:

Anyway, just my thoughts...

Nice, however on the first photo they seem to be wading through a marsh - no criticism just a first thought. Much better second photo - where did you get the torso for the doom wolf? Is that Thrud or a minotaur body?

Ok here are my six Dire wolves - I know you don't like them as they look mangey but just look how mangey can look well er ... mangey! tongue.gif

Dear Enthralled

Mmmm... they look suitably mangy to me happy.gif .

But seriously, while I don't like the figures I think that you have done a good job on them, the incorporation of some purple is clever to tie them into the rest of your army, yes?

Re my werewolf conversion I simply took a plastic minatour from the warhammer quest (also released in the monster box set) , cut off his head and replaced with one of a slavering wolf. Then I built up the mane using blue tack (forget the need for greenstuff, blue or yellow tack is cheaper, you just have to undercoat twice as it stretches with the first coat when it dries). Added on tail and other bits, painted and whalla, werewolf!!

See phot below for comparision:

You know I thought it was the heroquest one and realised I got the wrong "quest" when I read you reply. Blue tack - well that's a new one on me as a replacement for greenstuff. I only use it for emergencies when a shield has popped off mid -tourney - or for seating guys on mounts.

Ok caught me ... my army does have a purpleness about it. I just love the purple theme. You should see my ghouls! ha ha.
