Is Mannfred's arcane items choice limited to those in the VC army book or can he also take items from the rulebook (such as Power Scroll) ?
The army book says he can take items form the artefacts of death section. The first sentence in the artefacts of death section suggests that common items are part of artefacts of death section (being listed first). Then it is written that the full list of common items is in the rulebook. At the moment I'm leaning towards statement that he's limited to the VC army book list. So no power scroll. But I'm not entirely sure. Opinions? |

I'd say he can access magic items from the Rule Book.

I have to agree with you there, it says select 1/2 depending on the level you are playing Arcane Items from the Artifacts of Death Arcane section. I can argue intent, ect, but that gets us nowhere especially when I dont know the guys that wrote the books.
Then again, I can think of better things to give him than a dispel/power scroll  |
