I have tried very hard to find a reason to use this bloodline apart from fluff and reasonable models..............I can't find any practical ones. It seems highly ineffective compared to the others. Am I missing something.?

I don't know if I would use the term highly ineffective to describe Lahmian's. Especially around here . . . ohmy.gif

They seem the worst bloodline mostly because they lack any obvious advantages over the other bloodlines. They are, however nowhere near as weak as they appear. They are still an awesome combat character (against R&F) and their casting abilities are on par with the other bloodlines.

But the main reason to play them is because you like the fluff. If you want combat mosters play Strigoi or Blood Dragons. The better all-rounders are probably VonCarsteins and for magic ability Necromancers or Necharch is the way to go.

I would suggest you have a look at the tactica for some ideas on playing Lahmian's.

The lahmians have one thing that makes them better then other vampires, the abiltiy to strike first, this stuffs enemy charges up badly as they have their front rank cut into peices before they even get a chance to attack.

No offence was intended to Lahmian players. When I said 'highly ineffective' I was meaning in comparison to other bloodlines, and especially bloodline powers. Strike first does seem a nice one and it has confirmed for me that people play them rather for the fluff.

If you need 'win' reasons, how about the feeling after you win a game with what is considered the weakest bloodline? Although I, and I expect most other Lahmians, play the bloodline for fluff reasons.

Neferata's an incredibly powerful character.

Striking first all the time is very useful.

An addittional undispelable ward save.

Three very good reasons to take a Lahmian.

Everything pointed out already as to why to take Lahmians is very true.

As is the fact that I used 1,000 pts of them to beat the much dreaded (for VC anyways due to their high LD, mobileness, and shooting) Dark Elves two nights ago. Not too bad for an apparently weak bloodline huh? (finally redeemed myself after a couple of losses tongue.gif)
