THE SHAMBLING HORDE - Zombie Regiment - continued

The Shambling Horde:
These recently deceased members of Stirland's countryside shamble to do Pieter's bidding. Comprising of farmers and outlying soldiers, Pieter has successfully raised them as guardians to his tomb while he regains his strength.

Great Paint job. I'm not a big fan of the old skeleton shields. I actually got rid of all my old shields and ordered in those Coffin Lid Shields direct from Gameswork Shops online site. They look fanatastic. Maybe give the look over if you get a chance.

Well, picked up a crypt bat again to do some work on him, just a few bits here and there and he should be done.

Great looking Fell Bat stand-in! How many variant there is for those? I see you have two different models so far, is there more of them or will you use duplicate with maybe some conversion to make them different?

That remind me that I should finish my own unit or Fell Bat/Gargoyle!

I started the movement tray for the crypt bats, so far just the plasticard, foam, sackle compound, tree, tomb stones, rocks, and sand. I need to finish building up the wall to match the walls on the left and right bats.

Mioumboy: Just these three here mate. Thanks, and get to work on those flying beasties...

Ok, a bit more done on the bat base...

I took it pre primed to show how I do the rock walls, a combination of real rocks and a bit of green stuff to help everything come together.

Well, been a while for an update on this thread as well smile.gif

Anyway, I finished the first two ranks of the skeleton spearmen, and plan to do another 10 to round them out to 20. Almost done with rank 3... then will start rank 4.

Ok, rank 3 finally done...

So... what else are we working on...

Ogre Kingdoms: First rank of Ogre Bulls still under way...
Orcs and Goblins: Almost done with the robes on Skarsnik... also started on some of the metal bits.
Mortals of Chaos and Beasts: Still haven't done anything with either.
Empire: Started the first layer of red on the fourth rank of handgunners.
Dwarfs: Started on the green beards for the second rank of slayers.

Also, thought it might be worth mentioning some of the things I have spent time assembling the past few days: 3 Sepulcheral Stalkers, 1 Ogre Hunter mounted on Stonehorn, 10 Ghouls, 10 Graveguard, 10 Skeleton Warriors, 10 Direwolves, 1 Corpse Cart, Forge World Mounted Ogre General on Rhinox, Scibor Mounted Dwarf General on Bear, and 24 West Wind Imperial Dwarfs.

Anyway, up next for Vamps is the final rank of skeles:

PIETER VON CARSTEIN

In an instance, his mind was awake. Darkness all around him, but he could feel the presence of new and old dead, some with the mindless need to serve but others with malicious intent. Trying to move his body, he found that none of his muscles would respond. How long had it been? Without even trying, he could feel his presence waking the newly dead around him, and with a simple thought they were off to find sustenance to help bring his decrepit body back to vitality. In the meantime he began channeling his thoughts to the older bones in and around the crypt, stationing skeletal soldiers around him to ensure no one bothered him while he replenished. But in the back of his head, so faint that he could barely make it out, the same phrase kept repeating... "he is coming!"
