Hooray! It has passed! This sounds like it's going to be quite a lot of fun.

Not quite. We're waiting on either Berg, or Darenjo - to be ratified, it must be cleared by two justices. Frankly, I would have liked to see the constitution require intervention by the court when a law is challenged, as opposed to when one is passed. Perhaps that could be this legislatures first amendment! laugh.gif

Eh. The court was designed to be inquisitorial, rather than adversarial. I assume it's because the former is faster and the latter requires too much procedure.

Anyways, this amendment has reached the threshold required. As Connopolis said, I'm waiting for either Berg or Darenjo to get online. We have to certify that the amendment is not unconstitutional itself. (Yeah, I know that's odd.) Then Unibot has to sign off on it.

Having gone over the original Constitution, two things:

1. There's absolutely nothing in it about changing or replacing the Constitution, calling into doubt the entire legality of this whole thing.

2. I'm a firm believer in Hamiltonian readings of the law.

That's kind of assumed in the amendment process. tongue.gif

Anyways, should we wait until after the delegate election to start the legislature?
