Gazing Across The Lake

Moonfoot raced down the hillside, away from the WindClan camp. She slowed to a halt, padding slowly, with her head and tail held high. Today, Moonfoot had decided to relax and gaze across the lake. Her mind had been humming like a swarm of bees, and she had begun getting irritate. So she had hoped that looking at the lake would help her mind calm.

Staking through the bushes, Lionfoot pricked his ears up. A light grey she-cat was sitting on the broken bridge. The golden warrior swished his tail in greeting. Dropping a rabbit he had caught after his meeting with the spotted loner, he spoke. "Hi Moonfoot. What are you doing here?" He sat down next to her and press his flank with the grey warriors and purred. "What a pretty site." The sun shone down on the water and sparkled before them. This feeling, it is very strange. As soon as I saw her I...I...No, I can't just stare into those deep blue eyes and fall in love, can I?

Moonfoot nearly jumped out of her pelt when Lionfoot came up and pressed his golden pelt to hers. Relaxing, she purred. "Hi Lionfoot. I came out here to calm down. My mind has just been buzzing like bees. What about you?" She mewed, looking back at the lake. "It is quite pretty, isn't it?" She whispered. She took a glance at the handsome tom and his butterscotch eyes. She had always fancied him, but never knew how to say it.

"Well, I just hunting then I saw you here." He turned back to the lake. I feel so calm, Moonfoot. I really like her but how am I suppose to say it? His butterscotch eyes fill with tears of joy. He blinked them away and responded. "It is pretty." He watched as the water swayed and tumbled under them. Maybe twolegs have do have SOME uses. He pictured in his mind them cutting down trees to make the bridge. Or, maybe not. He purred at his own joke, partly to amuse Moonfoot partly to make himself happy. He then remebered his rabbit. Pushing it to the she-cat he mewed. "Wanna share? Im sure the Clan has eaten and I can catch another to make up for it."

Moonfoot looked at Lionfoot when he began purring. She nudged him with her shoulder, purring.
"What are you thinking about thats making you purr so loud that a cat can hear you from the Moonpool?" She mewed jokingly. Though, I am quite curious to what he is thinking... Maybe its about me? No... Lionfoot probably has his eye on another she-cat... She thought to herself.

Smiling, he mewed back. "Well it's getting late. Maybe we can go hunting tomorrow?" Hmm, I think i'll spend more time with Moonfoot. But, does she like me? I wonder if she culd possibly be a mate? Argh! Now my heads buzzing like bees. He stood up his eyes shining. "Wanna race back to camp? Go!" He took off his golden pelt blazing in the sun holding his brown rabbit, he ran back to camp.

Moonfoot shot up to her paws and her eyes widened as Lionfoot ran away. Hearing his challenge, she growled playfully and chased after him at top speed. "You cheat Lionfoot! But don't worry! You can tell me how you feel while I'm relaxing back at camp when you finally arrive!" She yowled as she started catching up with the handsome tom.
