Alev's and Parrotpaw's Nest, Please Don't Post Unless Invited! Thanks

Alev was lonely, Parrot had already slipped out for the day and there was no one to play with in his compound. He could go in the nest and play with the Twoleg kits but it wasn’t in his interest. He walked over to a new bamboo shoot and started nibbling on it; he never could understand how his Twolegs’ grew bamboo and kept his compound perfect for him. He yawned, he was nocturnal, and the daylight made him sleepy. He could suffer a day once and awhile but normally he had to sleep during the day and it seemed like today was the day. He climbed up on top of his scratching post and climbed up and onto a board on the wall and settled down to sleep.

He woke up to Parrotpaw pacing around the post, “Parrot!” He cried happily, leaping down and licking his housemate. “I’ve missed you brother…”

Parrotpaw sighed, “I’ve missed you too.” He purred, sitting down. “I’m just worried…”

“Worried about what?”

“A friend of mine, Amberpaw, She’s really sick and I can’t help.”

“Why don’t you bring her here, Parrot, and get her to the vet?”

“It’s not that simple Alev.”

“Oh”

Alev was wide awake, which was strange as it was early morning and he’d been awake all night. It’s one of those days… He thought, leaving his compound through the little pet door that lead to the kitchen of his Twolegs’ nest. Once inside the nest he was greeted by the site of Parrot slipping out of the door as the twoleg kits left for school, moving as fast as he could, the red panda followed, wanting to see where his friend went during the day. Maybe I’ll get to meet his friend Amberpaw…

When the trio got back to the twoleg nest Parrotpaw looked at Amberpaw, "Stay here and I'll be right back." He turned to Alev, "I'm gonna cry at the door, and when our Twolegs open the door I want you to run in and I'll walk away, got it." He told his adopted brother before padding over to the door and crying. Soon enough one of the Twolegs opened the door and Alev ran in, Parrotpaw easily walked away, as his Twolegs started to fret over Alev. When the tom-cat rejoined Amberpaw he smiled, "Shall we walk  to camp?"

Amberpaw purred at the way he sounded when he asked if they should go back to camp. "Yes we shall!" She purred before looking over into Parrotpaw's garden and seeing cat-mint. "Mind if I grab some of that for Raggedfur?" She asked, grabbing as much as she could carry when he told her she could. Then the two started to walk towards camp, happy to be in eachother's company.

((Nighttime, After the Yelloweye patrol))

Alev was sitting in his enclosure quietly, not in the mood to really do anything. He didn’t want to play, nor did he want to sleep. He wasn’t hungry either, which left him just staying in, bored. Parrotpaw came in and he stood up, noticing he was followed by Amberpaw. She looked scared, and Alev automatically hopped down and touched noses with her. “What’s wrong?” He asked her, concerned for the plump ginger she-cat.

Amberpaw smiled at Alev when he came over to her, “I’m just worried about getting stuck here. I’ve never been inside a Twoleg nest before, and it’s a little freaky.” She whispered to him. She turned to Parrotpaw, “Thank you for taking me to see Alev I missed him.” She purred.

Parrotpaw smiled at her, “Of course I’d take you to see Alev, no need to say thank you. I’m glad you like him that much, last time you two met you were so scared of him.” He said, touching his muzzle to her cheek. “I’ll make sure you get out of here Amberpaw, I promise.” He added.

Alev nodded, “I’m glad you’re not scared of me anymore, Amberpaw.” He told her, nodding. “But, you should probably go. I can come meet you in the Meadow someday or something. If my NoFurs shut the door, you might not be able to get out, and that would be awful.” He said.

Amberpaw nodded, “Alright, let’s meet up sometime than.” She agreed before turning to Parrotpaw. “Can you help me get out please? I’ll be able to get back to camp on my own.” She said.

Alev watched as the two left, and he smiled a little, happy to see his best friend, his brother in a way, with someone who made him just as happy, if not happier. Parrot deserves so much happiness, and I’m glad she makes him happy when I can’t. He turned away from them, turning to his box of toys. He picked one up and started to play.

He had nothing better to do anyway.
