In a book entitled "Kissinger's War: 1957-1975" by Henry Paolucci, he writes the following starting on pg 111:

QUOTE

"Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Age, Brezezinski makes the point that the Western peoples have advanced through three great stages and are now entering a fourth and culminating stage. The FIRST STAGE was an age of religion: coupling the idea of divine providence with a 'narrowness derived,' as he says, 'from massive ignorance, illiteracy, and a vision confined to the immediate environment.'

Then came the AGE OF NATIONALISM. This matched Christian equality before God with national equality before the law. It thus 'marked another giant step in the progressive redefinition of man's nature and place in our world.' In the wake of Western nationalism has come MARXISM which, says Brzezinski, 'represents a further vital and creative stage in the maturing of man's universal vision.' But there is more. Beyond religion, nationalism and Marxism is the EMERGING TECHNETRONIC AGE OF RATIONAL HUMANISM ON A GLOBAL SCALE."
