Legislation Passed December 8, 2004:
(It appears that Senator Byrd wrote this amendment that was added to a huge bill called "Consolidated Appropriations Act 2005")
How Schools are Celebrating this Day:
Starting with the school year 2005, all schools that receive federal monies must "hold an educational program pertaining to the United States Constitution on September 17 of each year."
