It's interesting that Mock drills were going on around the same area prior to the London bombings. Do you remember the mock drills in NY just prior to 911? Looks like a pattern to many!

Hussain set off his bomb on a bus in Tavistock Square at 9.47am.

The Commissioner ruled that the faces of anyone other than the bombers should be pixelated in the footage.

Peter Power, the former Scotland Yard official Anti-Terrorist Branch official, who oversaw drills of the very events of the London bombings on the morning of 7/7 as they were happening, has revealed more details behind the events for the first time in three and a half years.

A statement, apparently from Mr Power, has appeared in the comments section of a recent blog posting regarding comments Power made on the BBC last week.

As we highlighted, the �crisis management expert� revealed that some companies used the shut down of the city of London on Wednesday, during the G20 protests, as a dress rehearsal for an influenza pandemic.

In response to an explanation of who Peter Power is, which was added by the Uncensored Magazine blog, Mr Power himself posted a lengthy statement in which he reveals that the company he was working with on 7/7 was London based information giant Reed Elsevier.

The company is most notable for its ownership of the Lexis/Nexis legal database, as well as many other information sources. As Elsevier, it runs a vast number of science journals, including some of the biggest and most reputable ones. Reed is also known as a host of large exhibitions. The company part owns the ExCel Centre in London�s Docklands area, where the G20 summit was held this past weekend.

Here is Peter Power�s statement in full:

There has been much nonsense written about why my company ran an exercise on 7 July 2005 that had very close parallels to the real thing that day. Since then I have made several attempts to add my own comments to numerous sites that seem to get increasingly excited about their own conspiracy theories and in the process exclude any rational debate. It seems those who occupy the world of finding conspiracy theories to replace just about any coincidence, do not want to have any dialogue with those offering a different view, but I have not yet given up hope. I am therefore hoping, perhaps naively, that someone might like to read an honest and factual account about a particular exercise my company ran in London three years ago.

Unfortunately, the BBC had postponed in 2008 a programme in their �conspiracy files� series that would have done this. Our client three years ago agreed to be named in the BBC programme since the attitude of the producer and his team was very balanced (several conspiracy theorists were also invited to take part). We even allowed our complete exercise material to be made available to the BBC. Regrettably broadcasting in 2008 might have jeopardised an ongoing court case, so they had little choice about postponing it to 2009.

Early in 2005 Reed Elsevier, an organisation specialising in information and publishing that employs 1,000 people in and around London, asked us to help them prepare an effective crisis management plan and rehearse it before sign-off. Several draft scenarios were drawn up and the crisis team themselves set the exercise date and time: 9.00am on 7 July.

The test was planned as a table-top walk through for about six people (the CM team) in a lecture room with all injects simulated. Everything was on MS PowerPoint. The location of their Central London office near to Chancery Lane was chosen as one test site. With many staff travelling to work via the London underground system, the chosen exercise simulated incendiary devices on three trains, very similar to a real IRA attack in 1992, as well as other events.

As there had been eighteen terrorist bomb attacks on tube trains prior to 2005, choosing the London Underground was logical rather than just prescient. With this in mind it was hardly surprising that Deutsche Bank had run a similar exercise a few days before and, prior to that, a multi-agency (and much publicised) exercise code-named Osiris II had simulated a terrorist attack at Bank tube station. Moreover, I had also taken part in a BBC Panorama programme in 2004 as a panellist alongside Michael Portillo MP et al, in an unscripted debate (we had no idea at all what the scenario was to be?) on how London might once again, deal with terrorist attacks, only this time it was fictional (created entirely by the BBC).

In short, some of the research for our exercise had already been done. The scenario developed for our client even started by using fictitious news items from the Panorama programme then, as with any walk through exercise, events unfolded solely on a screen as dictated by the facilitator without any external injects or actions beyond the exercise room. Also factored into the scenario was to be an above ground fictitious bomb exploding not far from the head office of the protected Jewish Chronicle magazine where for exercise purposes, our imagined terrorists would have been aware that commuters would now be walking to work (past a building already considered a target) as some tube stations would have been closed.

Of just eight nearby tube stations that fell within possible exercise scope, three were chosen that, by coincidence, were involved in the awful drama that actually took place on 7 July 2005. A level of scenario validation that on this occasion, we could have done without.

An exercise that turns into the real thing is not that unusual. For example, in January 2003, thirty people were injured when a tube train derailed and hit a wall at speed. At the same time, the City of London Police were running an exercise for their central casualty bureau where the team quickly abandoned their plans and swung into action to cope with the real thing.

For a surprising number of people such coincidents cannot be accepted as such. There just has to be a conspiracy behind them, despite the obvious point that painstaking research will always identify probable above possible scenarios. By the way, the only reason I was asked to speak on TV news that day, when there was still much confusion about the real tragedies, was to encourage more organisations to thoroughly plan their own exercises knowing the threat of terrorism is and remains, very real. One tragic consequence being Islam, a great Abrahamic, monotheistic faith (along with Judaism and Christianity), has undeservedly become vilified by some people.

To re-cap the situation, on the afternoon of July 7th, 2005, Power told a BBC radio interviewer that his company was running an exercise for an unnamed group that revolved around three bombs going off at precisely the same tube stations and precisely the same time as those that were hit that morning.

The transcript is as follows.

PETER POWER: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now.

HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?

POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don�t want to reveal their name but they�re listening and they�ll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers for the first time they�d met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time thinking and so on.

The odds of such a coincidence are absolutely staggering, which led some to charge that Power�s drill was set up ahead of time, or used by people with insider foreknowledge of 7/7.

Just as happened on 9/11, when exercises involving hijacked aircraft overlapped with the real attacks, some charge that the drill was a cover for the real attack in case any of its perpetrators were caught.

Power alluded to the nature of the simulations in the days after 7/7, in an effort to downplay the significance of the mock-versus-real events.

Less than one week after the bombings, as Power and his company Visor consultants received correspondence and questions, mostly stemming from our articles on the drills, a short statement was issued, concluding with the following comments:

�Beyond this no further comment will be made and based on the extraordinary number of messages from ill informed people, no replies will henceforth be given to anyone unable to demonstrate a bona fide reason for asking (e.g. accredited journalist / academic).�

Power�s culpability is seemingly minimal - after all why would he announce the drill on national radio hours after the attack? - but his reaction to questions regarding the drills highlighted that he was not comfortable discussing the subject further.

Indeed, in December 2007, when Power was approached politiely by members of the We Are Change group, who explained who they were and what they were doing, he refused to answer any of their questions on camera, saying he would not tolerate the approach.

Engineers were first on the scene of the Piccadilly Line bombing on 7 July. Bernadette Redfern asked Tubelines operations director Stephen Peat what they did and how they got the line reopened.

STEPHEN PEAT is understandably proud of the work done by Tubelines following the bomb attacks on London�s Underground on 7 July.

Tubelines and Metronet are the Underground�s maintenance and upgrade contractors, but unlike Metronet, Tubelines operates the emergency response teams for the whole underground network.

As such its staff were responsible for everything from assessing damage to evacuating those caught up in the blasts.

It was a harrowing event for everybody and no-one wants to relive it, but against this backdrop, people on site did very well. They made it safe and supported the police and Metronet, and we beat our programme by several days, he says, speaking for the first time since the damaged section of the Piccadilly Line reopened earlier this month.

On 7 July, terrorists set off a series of devices on the Underground at the peak of the morning rush hour. Bombs exploded on the Circle Line at Edgware Road and Aldgate and on the Piccadilly Line between Russell Square and King's Cross. A fourth device was exploded on a bus at Tavistock Square.

London descended into chaos as the Underground shut down completely and bus services stopped. But as commuters and central London residents tried to get home, engineers working on London Underground were getting to work evacuating passengers and assessing the damage.

The most challenging recovery job took place in the deep Piccadilly Line tunnels.

At Russell Square our engineers went in to check the tunnel before any of the police forensic teams could start. The police couldn't and wouldn't put any of their people inside until we had checked that it was safe, says Peat.

Engineers into the 30m deep, 3.66m diameter tunnel directly following the evacuation of passengers. They inspected the cast iron lining and found that it was unaffected by the explosion.

After the forensic investigators arrived, engineers had to leave so as not to disturb evidence. As a result, they had to make an educated guess about what work would need to be done to repair the site as soon as the police investigation was complete.

We had to consider the worst case scenario, which was that everything could have been broken. We knew that we had too much material and too many people on standby and accepted that we may have to send people home. But when the eyes of the world were focused on us, it would have been unforgivable not to have had enough people or materials to do the work, says Peat.

To make these predictive damage assessments, Tubelines established a rebuild and recovery team at its headquarters at Canary Wharf. We had assessors for the trains, tunnel, track, signalling, communications equipment and power systems. And a separate person was appointed to co-ordinate the work required. Planning was everything, Peat explains.

Incidents such as the Northern Line derailment at Camden Town (NCE 23 October 2003) had taught us a lot, especially the need to have one person in sole charge of the site, he says. This person was Piccadilly Line infrastructure manager Peter Terret.

Alongside planning, the repairs the team also had to ensure that the proposed remedial work and corresponding testing methods were quality assured. Assurance on the system is carried out separately and we had to make sure that all the work that we were proposing would pass the requirements of the assessors, says Peat.

What tests would they want to see? We had to understand their criteria to know that our processes were right and make sure that everyone was aware of what the requirements were. This, he says, was one of the biggest challenges.

The Piccadilly Line site was released by the police on 26 July and the first 12 hours of handover were spent assessing damage. The damage to the tunnel was purely superficial, there was nothing structural.

To make sure, we did non-destructive testing along the section. We had three people looking to see if anything had moved or cracked and were checking the torque on all the bolts, says Peat. Next we got the track boys in and they replaced about 30ft of damaged track. The signal team also came in to repair the broken cables, several hundred metres worth. We also had to repair a 22,000KV power cable and both the phone and radio systems were wrecked.

By Monday 1 August, the repairs were assured and fully tested in non-dynamic conditions, ready for live testing. A battery powered locomotive was used to test the track the next day before the section affected by the bomb could be handed back to London Underground controllers for reopening that Thursday.

Moving out the carriages

One of Tubelines first jobs after the Russell Square Tube blast was to move out eight trains stuck in the tunnel between Green Park and Russell Square. This was all on the same power circuit as the damaged trains and the power had been turned off after the blast.

The answer was to cut the circuit and restore the power south of the incident. We cut out a 15m section of track south of Russell Square and then turned the power back on and let the trains get driven out, says Peat.

The damaged train itself was made up of six carriages. Four were unaffected by the blast, and could be towed out as soon as the police had inspected them using a battery powered train. They were taken to Cockfosters (at the northern end of the Piccadilly Line) for medical cleaning, says Peat.

This left just the blast carriage, and one attached to it. When the police had finished with the carriages we had to move them out so they could inspect the track. Just north of the site was a junction that was slightly wider (than the 3.66m tunnel) and so we towed it up there again with a battery powered train. The walls and roof had been blown outwards, and to get the carriages out of the tunnel we had to pull them back in again and fold the roof down. The carriages themselves were then wrapped in a type of large bubbled wrap, explains Peat.

Timeline of Events

Thursday 7 July, 8.50am
Three bombs explode within about 50 seconds of each other at three different locations on the London Underground network. Transport for London (TfL) initially suspects a derailment and power surge.

9.15am
All trains on the network are stopped as TfL goes into emergency mode, known as Code Amber. Station staff instruct passengers to stay on platforms until told that conditions outside are safe and that the incident does not involve chemical, biological or nuclear substances.

9.47am
A bomb located on the top floor of a double decker bus explodes in Tavistock Square near Euston Station.

10am
Tube passengers evacuated to street level by emergency response teams. Engineers enter Circle and Piccadilly Line tunnels to check structural integrity at blast sites.

12pm
Forensic Teams enter the sites. Police investigations begin.

Friday 8 July
Tubelines rebuild and response team starts planning recovery

Saturday 9 July
Eight trains in tunnel between Russell Square and Green Park are driven out. Police investigation continues.

Sunday 17 July
Four carriages are separated from bombed carriages and moved into station area for a detailed engineering inspection. They are then pulled to Cockfosters depot by battery locomotive.

Last night the BBC aired another of its hatchet jobs on the truth and patriot movements. This one concerning the London attacks of July 7th, 2005.

Even by the BBC�s standards this was a pathetic attempt at debunking. Much of the program was spent debunking unimportant issues and old arguments. At one point they actually even brought up the sign on the bus that said �Outright Terror: Bold and Brilliant� and potrayed it as if we consider it a key piece of evidence.

They brought up Peter Power�s mock terror drills and downplayed the extraordinary coincidence, while making no mention of the fact that on 9/11 there were also drills taking place simultaneously that were eerily like the attacks - OKC aswell, which is the main reason the drills are so suspicious.

To the BBC�s credit, they did mention the fact that metal and tiles were blown upwards by the train blasts. They even interviewed the survivor who made that statement and made it clear that he supported alternative theories. However, this evidence was glossed over.

Just like their 9/11 hitpieces, they did not actually defend the official story. They simply restated the official narrative as if it was a proven fact and then attempted to disprove alternative theories without responding to criticisms of the official narrative. They made out that there was a massive amount of concrete evidence to support the official story and no evidence to support alternative theories. In reality of course, it�s the other way around. The official narrative has been torn apart by many researchers. The film �Ludicrous Diversion� does not even pose alternative theories, it simply points out the many flaws in the official narrative.

Much of the program was spent examining the effect the film �7/7 Ripple Effect� had on the muslim world. Brian Paddick, a Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner, argued in the piece how he felt it was important that the �conspiracy theories� be refuted as they could potentially make it more difficult to prevent �further atrocities�. This is a dangerous spin. As if the �tin foil hat� stereotype wasn�t enough, the BBC are actually subtly implying that these alternative theories are potentially dangerous and by questioning 7/7 you are promoting islamic extremism!

Throughout the program several attempts were made to potray 7/7 truthers as mentally unstable and dangerous individuals. Threatening emails to a Controlled Demolition company and Peter Power were mentioned and a video clip of WeAreChange UK �harassing� Peter Power was shown. Muad�Dib�s anonymity was potrayed as �sinister� and his arrest was mentioned, as was the fact that he believes that he is the messiah. Kollerstrom �s holocaust denial was also mentioned and throughout the program, numerous comparisons were made to 9/11, thereby linking the 9/11 truth movement with all of this aswell. It was as if you were watching Glenn Beck.

Towards the end of the program, the BBC mentioned that Tony Gosling was planning on working closer with the muslim community. They even mentioned an event that is going to take place on the 4th anniversary of the attacks at the Birmingham Central Mosque. It seems strange that the BBC would mention this. Was this program just a typical hitpiece? Or was it some kind of preconditioning/predictive programming to associate 9/11 and 7/7 researchers with islamic extremism in preparation for a false flag attack that will be used to defame us further?

After the establishment�s lame attempts to link Von Brunn and 9/11 Truth, it honestly wouldn�t suprise me. This is after all the same corporation that put out a propaganda piece in 2004 called �London Under Attack� which discussed the response to a simulated terrorist attack on three tube trains - effectively predicting 7/7 with Lone Gunmen like precision. Interesting how they made no mention of that in their hitpiece.

More of the unprofessional and lying media!

The police have, from the onset of their investigation, chosen to withold from the public almost every bit of evidence they claim to have and have provably lied about several aspects of the London Bombings. The mainstream news has wilfully spread false, unsubstantiated and unverifiable information, while choosing to completely ignore the numerous inconsistencies and discrepancies in the official story. The government has finally, after a year, presented us with their official �narrative� concerning the event. Within hours it was shown to contain numerous errors, a fact since admitted by the Home Secretary John Reid. They have continuously rejected calls for a full, independent public inquiry. Tony Blair himself described such an inquiry as a �ludicrous diversion�. What don�t they want us to find out?
