Westboro church Supreme Court case tests First Amendment
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Justice/2010/...First-Amendment

I find it interesting that this is going to be a test case for the 1st Amendment! To pick the most absurd group to use as a test case is just amazing! These people are minority of whackos, and it wouldn't surprise me if the Foundations funded their cause also. rolleyes.gif

Doesn't this look like a set up to you? Sure does to me!

Supreme Court Struggles With Westboro Baptist 1st Amendment Case
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com:...baptist_1st.php

QUOTE
When Supreme Court justices took up that issue in court on Wednesday, the usually highly divided court agreed on one thing: these Westboro Baptist Church people are jerks. Their tactics are "very obnoxious," said Justice Stephen Breyer, usually a member of the court's liberal bloc. They used "nasty signs," said Justice Antonin Scalia, who's been described as the intellectual anchor of the conservative wing of the court.

If the court uses these idiots to curtail Free Speech, they are not worthy of their position on this court, IMO! Because they will not have upheld the US Constitution! These jerks should not be allowed to dictate our level of Free Speech, PERIOD! They are not even worthy of getting all the press they are getting. If the MEDIA would stop covering their ridiculous escapades this wouldn't even be news, much less be at the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court: Anti gay Funeral Picketers Allowed:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110302/ap_on_...uneral_protests

The decision was in favor of Free Speech! YES! Even for idiots! The right decision, IMO! Like stated earlier, nut jobs should not determine our level of free speech! SCOTUS got this one right!

Not sure what Alito's problem is on this subject. He was only one who dissented! We need to watch this guy!
