Title: G5 Strikers -- I love them!

I recently purchased some G5 strikers from a user on another forum and man do I love these broadheads. First off, they're scary sharp right out of the package and they really do fly like field points. I've tried alot of different heads out of my DXT and couldn't get anything to fly right without having to adjust the nocking point. I tried Muzzy 3 blades, Slick Tricks, Montec and Rage. Nothing would fly the way it should. First shot I took with the Strikers at 20 yards, whammo! Right in the dot. I think I've found the head I'm gonna stick with for a while. =]

Joe they sound similar to when I tried the sonic heads a couple of years ago. They fly just like my field points. From the ground and up in the tree. Post a photo of those broadheads if you can.

Yeah, that broadhead flew perfect on the first shot.

Not sure if yours are the magnums or not but here are the G5 magnum striker heads. They look nasty.

I used the Wac 'em heads a couple of years ago. They are very similar to the regular strikers (not the mag version). They did fly great but I have to say I was NOT impressed with the performance of the head on deer. I hit my Velvet buck from a tree stand and took out both lungs. When I gutted him out and checked the damage I was surprised at the very little damage there. Tracking was not easy as there was not a lot of blood and he went just over 200 yards. The shot was about 2 inches from the top of the right lung and centered the left lung. I think the problem was just that the cutting diameter was too small. Anyway I had much better preformance with slick tricks last year.
All that said Matt still uses the Grim Reaper and his blood trails are AMAZING. He has not had a deer shot with them go more then about 60 yards. I have now made the switch and I have Grim Reapers in my quiver for this fall.
In NO way am I bashing the heads. I want to be clear on that. They did their job and both deer I shot with them died. It was just that both deer ran much farther than they should have with very little blood trail.
