Title: What is your hunting load/ setup

Buck Hunter - April 19, 2006 12:51 PM (GMT)
Mine is a Traditional rifle (I really like the whole traditional thing). It is a TC 54cal Original Renegade with open sights. I am working on a roundball load right now. I hope to shoot around 90gr of real black powder with a .015" patch and a .530" roundball. I plan to hunt pronghorn antelope with that load. My limit will be 100yds so I will have alot of fun trying to get 100yds from one of them buggers.

So what is your setup/load? And what do you plan to hunt with it?

I have found out that my smokepole like loose pyrodex as opposed to 777 or even pyrodex pellets. My sweet load for it is 90 grains of pyrodex behind
a 350gr T/C maxi hunter. Our muzzleloader season here in NYS folows the regular firearms season for about 6-7 days. I hunt with my gun then. But I will be shooting it shortly, I have just scoped it.

I use two pellets and a 225gr. aerotip Powerbelt in my .45 Black Diamond and it's dead-on at 100 yds.
