NCbuckhuntr - April 20, 2006 07:10 AM (GMT)
I just got permission on a private pond there are 40 to 50 pound grass carp in there what is a good bait for them?

Try using a Muzzy Tipped bowfishing arrow. That is WAY more fun.
As far as bait I would think dough balls would be a good option. That or canned corn. Sure would be fun with a bow though.

I wish I could shoot them its a retirement community and its catch & release I dont think they would fare to well after they bit a Muzzy :D I will try some corn Thanks

OK. Didn't know it was C&R. I never think of carp as something to release. When I used corn I always used the long shank hooks so I could get more on.

Good luck with the bread. Sorry the corn didn't work. Live and learn I guess. Let me know what ends up working for you.
