I wasn't going to say anything Jake. But what a small world it is.
Last week I was told I was nominated for the County rep of the year by NYB and won it. The VP told me someone would accept the award in my name. I was invited to the dinner, but it is a monster trip for me and I had the FNRA even the same weekend. Its nice to be recognized for work done.
Even nicer to have friends in the crowd smile.gif .

Yeah when they started announcing it and were saying the stuff about Rockland County and that the winner had helped out at a soup kitchen this past fall/winter, I KNEW who it was gonna be! I can imagine how long of a trip it would've been for you coming all the way up there. It was an hour and a half from me, but I think I'm really going to benefit from it. We had a booth set up for my uncle's taxidermy school and my bird work. Surprisingly there was a lot of interest in my bird work (didn't expect it from a bowhunting banquet) and the guy who was set up next to us makes custom arrows and is talking about coming out and bringing me 5 birds one day alone! I didn't have much to donate to the auction since birds can't be sold, so I donated a couple taxidermy gift certificates to be auctioned off. We didn't stay for the auction so I don't know how much they ended up raising for NYB.

Thanks again guys.
New York Bowhunters is a organization that I believe in, or else I would not be involved with it. I am humbled that they would consider me.
April 21st myself and another NYB member are doing a Adaptive sports Expo at Helen Hayes rehab Hospital in West Haverstraw,NY. We will be promoting the sport of archery/hunting and demonstrating the draw lock device for those convalescing and those visting the expo.
