For ease of access, here's the list of the Gods and Goddesses, as well as their owners(username and character name) and their own names, and some other information.

Places:
1)
Kingdom of Imindar
Kiemar (the place to the north our characters are supposedly from)
Ulindel (the underworld place in Imindar)

The Guide: Zan'nekhlerjahn
The 'Boss': Mekhtryluxaraktraxth

((Lightningdude; Scott; Dialyn))
Under the pheonix whose wings weren't trailing fire, but icicles, the words were the same colour as its glowing eyes and read:
The Goddess of Ice. Her heart is cold and she never hesitates to do what needs to be done. Though she ruthlessly carries out her own wishes, she often finds herself at the mercy of those who call themselves her allies. She has to know when and how to stay on someone's good side, even with her loner-ish demeanor.

((Laphir; Imogen; Alastair))
At the lion's feet, the fur on which seemed warm to the touch even in stone form:
The God of Fire. Courage and power are the cornerstone of the Fire God's abilities. He sacrifices defensive capabilities for the ability to harness the power of fire. He destroys all in his path and has no regrets. With strong allies at his side, he is unstoppable, and wouldn't back down against even unsurmountable odds.

((Laphir; Howard; Terra Firma))
In the shadow of the bear(Which, upon further inspection, seemed to have tiny little spines, like a hedgehog, rather than fur) with the hammer:
The God of Stone. His unstoppable strength and skin of stone is second to none. Even a statue would break under less pressure than this lumbering giant. He stands amidst allies and enemies alike, ignoring the weak and destroying or befriending the strong. Though the God of Stone is simple, he is not to be trifled with.

((Jubilee; Kana; Saraesa))
The next statue along was another bird-like creature, with a beak and wings like an eagle's, but it was much smaller and agile-looking than the Pheonix. It had sharpened talons, that seemed to shine in the light, and its position was aggressive, with talons outstretched and wings spread wide. Oddly, it looked like it was floating in the air without any support. Its eyes were white and the description beneath read:
The Goddess of Wind. She prefers not to be seen, or heard, or even for anyone to know she's there. It takes a lot to gain her trust, and a lot less to lose it again, she is cautious to the very end, on the edge of paranoia. She sneaks up on her enemies and swoops down, finishing them off in one blow.

((Fanlourau; Lina; Famna))
The fifth statue looked surprisingly human. If you were to compare it to a human, it was female, its ears were longer, its eyes wider and more rounded, it didn't have a mouth, and it had two great big wings, like a butterfly's, sticking out of its back. In fact, it looked like a fairy from a children's story. Unlike the other statues, it stood in a welcoming pose, beckoning them into its warm embrace, the words beneath were a warm gold, like its eyes.
The Goddess of the Spirit. Her heart are as warm as her words. She protects and aids without question, any expectation for anything in return, or ulterior motive. Though sometimes she is forced to defend herself, passiveness is her path, and she seeks to win the hearts of her enemies, rather than the swords.

((Khalan; Adam; Juno))
The statue next to this seemed a perfect contrast to the maternal figure beside her. She held a scythe across her chest protectively and aggressively, though there wasn't much to protect. Her features were skeletal, and her draconian wings, tucked in tightly to her back, were stripped of their skin and consisted only of bone, just as the rest of her. Despite having next to no actual flesh, she managed to sneer down at you as you looked at her. Her eyes were as black as her heart, and the words beneath only visible if you looked really closely.
The Goddess of the Mind. She is as harsh as the winter, and evil as the thief who steals the food you need to survive. Though she curses and twists the minds of those she dislikes, she is surprised and impressed by kindness, so make sure to stay on her good side if you don't want to be turned to a frog! She's definitely a powerful ally to have, after all...

((Shinzar; Alphonse; Genesis))
The first of the last three statues, now closer to the pheonix of Ice than the bear of Stone, was a creature that even made of stone appeared to reflect the light with its fine edges and sharp corners. If you looked carefully, however, beneath this shiny armour was a small creature with whiskers and a long snout; it looked very convincinly like a cat, and it even stood on all fours, though the statue was sitting on its armoured flanks. There were several blades attached to the cat's back, and its eyes glowed the colour the blades would no doubt be if they weren't stone:
The God of Steel. His skill and resourcefulness is unmatched, but when he is parted with his weapons, he is defenceless. He has a mastery in combat with any object he carries, and he can give life, though hollow, to things that before could only be used. In this way, he is more a manufacturer and creator than a destroyer, which his skills might suggest.

The eighth statue was quite similar to the seventh in that it was a cat, but this one was larger, and more confident-looking. It stood, body parallel to the wall opposite, facing outwards regally. Its fur was fine, so it wasn't visible in the stone, and its face resembled that of a tiger, or a panther. It was unarmed and unarmoured, but it didn't look like it was missing it. Its eyes glowed purple:
The God of Gravity. He is powerful, and he knows it. He is probably the most neutral of them all, only applying his power where he sees fit, never going out of his way to defend that which is unimportant to him, but equally never ignoring an honest plea for help. He harnesses the ability to control gravity itself. A powerful ability indeed, but difficult to master.

((Zyxie; Jack; Zephyr))
The ninth and final statue didn't appear to have any form at all. Not any definite form, anyway. As you looked at it, it changed, copying each of the previous statues one by one, and continuing to change into other creatures that weren't featured in the room before returning to the first in the sequence. Though this change was obvious, it happened slowly enough for it not to catch your eye, and to only be noticeable if you're looking for it. Its eyes never stayed the same colour for more than a second, nor did the words at its ever-changing feet:
The Mimic. The trickster and the joker, neutral but chaotic, following its own volition without any regard for those around it. Not to say it purposefully destroys its allies, it simply doesn't care unless given very good reason to and convinced to stick around. This God could be called the most powerful of them all, but its abilities come at a terrible cost. Insanity.

((Sorry in advance Zhaska for sort of copying the idea. But I did change it quite a bit, so, hope it's okay.))

For millenia, the universe was a harmonious place, upheld by beings far more powerful than mere mortals could comprehend, then, a great Evil came. The Evil destroyed everything it touched, it claimed worlds, stars and galaxies as its own, and it challenged the Good ones. After a thousand years of battle, the Good ones emerged victorious, and the Evil was banished to spend a million years undisturbed and unmentioned.

Untouched by these conflicts, a world known by its inhabitants simply as ‘Home’, lived on happily. On this very planet there was a town called Bauernstone, home to a hundred happy families, living off the land with farms and fields. Like any other town, there was a blacksmith, and a militia, just in case the town was attacked or anything like that. This militia had a high recruitment rate amongst the teenagers of the town, and very few didn’t join the militia during their teen years, though the majority would leave when they were old enough to help at the farm.

Stories in the teen militia were very common, and a favourite was about the castle at the top of the hill just to the south of the town. The castle was told to be haunted, filled with demons and monsters, and if you were to go in there, you’d never come out. Of course, the older ones weren’t nearly as gullible. They just played along with the young’uns because watching them so afraid was fun. But there were a few who wanted to find out if this story was true. They weren’t quite old enough to know to heed a story told for centuries, because stories like that are told for a reason.

((All that RPers need provide is a NAME, an AGE, and a BRIEF DESCRIPTION. But do so within your first post!))

The 3rd bell rang and a cheer ran through the group of teenagers, their bags quickly swept up and the room was empty in seconds. "Bloody kids," cursed the militia group leader, and followed them outside as rapidly as humanly possible, shouting for them all to shut up and listen. "You only have one bell's worth of break! That's not enough time to go to the market and back, alright, so stick around!"

It was enough time to climb the hill, however.

The bell rang and his ears was flooded by a rather deafening noise, the other teenagers were cheering. He swiped up his bag and followed the crowd.

'I haven't introduced myself properly have I? Well I'm 18, in about a months time I will be 19. I'm about 5'10, wild blond hair and sky blue eyes. My name is-'

"Adam!"

'.... That pretty much summed it up. My full name is Adam Storm.'

"Adam! Stop spacing out man! Didn't you hear his announcement?" the teen beside him whispered.

Adam turned his head to the brunette and raised an eyebrow. "Uhm... no not exactly."

The brunette rolled his eyes and repeated the group leader's words. "You only have one bell's worth of break! That's not enough time to go to the market and back, alright, so stick around!"

Adam nodded his head. "Oh."

Groups of teenagers started to talk amongst themselves before a loud voice called through the noise. "Who wants to climb the hill?!"

The noise withered away and silence prevailed. Adam turned his eyes toward the hill.

'I am so going to be first.'

Kana, 16, was walking around the marketplace with a baby on her back and three little ones clutching her legs. Her black hair had a tinge of purple (bleached by being under the sun for too long). Right now, her expression was one of a pleasant sister. Tugging them along by walking, she taught them to stay close and even if the triplets disobeyed, her eyes were as watchful as the moon over the seas.

"Kana! Kana! Look!" Titi shouted for her to come. She picked up a beautiful brooch to show it to her sister. "It's like the colour of your eyes!"

"Yeah! Yeah!" Paul broke free from the leg and ran to his identical sister. "It's purple but then it can turn colourless under the light!"

"Hey, you two! If you can't afford it, don't touch my wares!" The vendor pushed them away roughly. They were already sized up by their simple clothes and barefeet.

In a blink of light, he was up against the wall, a foot lodged under his chin.

"Don't mistreat children."

Grinding her foot at his adam's apple to make a point, Kana released him after she heard a satisfactory squeak.

Naomi gurgled happily on her back and the 5 of them carried on to the well situated near the castle for some clean water.

===

Once there, Kana set Naomi down with Titi as she pulled up a bucket of water. She drank some and gave the children some; though of course, the other two boys were missing.

"Paul! Henry!" She shouted. "Where are you two running off to?"

"Nya, nya, nya! Big sister can't catch us!" They came out from their hiding spot behind a big boulder and then ran away.

Kana didn't follow immediately as she had to instruct Titi where to take Naomi, what to do etc. And besides, she has long legs. She'll catch up to them soon enough.

She ran towards the direction in which they took off to - the militia base. She couldn't see her brothers, but she saw a few teens making their way up the hill.

A sense of deja vu washed over her.

Tending to the vegetables, was a young farmer - Alphonse. His brown hair playfully waved in the gentle wind, embraced by the sun's warming rays. He wiped his forehead drenched in sweat, and left the filthy towel hanging on the broken fencing.

From here, on the hills, his sapphire blue eyes see far, the sky stretching beyond the horizon. It was unfortunate that he was born to live a farmer's life; he wished his life could be more fulfilling, being energetic and adventurous, he wished he could explore the world and see different cultures, alas, it's merely an unattainable dream; he was simply destined to be a farmer.

"Oi, Alphonse! Give yourself a break. It's noon already!"

Howard called out over the fence, emerald eyes rolled up when they saw how diligent the brown-haired boy was working. Tiny beads of perspiration clung on his spiky golden hair, flowed onto his tanned skin and drench his sooty apron; the apprentice blacksmith looked as if he just came out from the furnace.

"By the way, have you seen that lil' kitten?" The 19-years-old adolescent untie the laces of his apron, uncovering his broad, somewhat-muscular frame. "A few tykes were slandering ol' Gary yesterday, and she's been acting strangely since then... Despite the thrashing she'd gave 'em."

Gary is a good pal of Howard and Alphonse, and that 'little kitten' Howard mentioned was actually referring to Gary's kid sister, Imogen. Their mate's combat skills was good enough to be chosen as an elite soldier, and he had left the village to pursue that path. However, it has been a month since they had last heard from him... and some of the townsfolk were starting to jump into conclusions.

"She's supposed to come to the forgery, except she didn't," Howard folded his arms, frowning. "I hope she ain't gonna do anything silly, like maintaining her brother's honour and

'-Climb the hill! I'll show those dungheads who's boss...'

A girl about fifteen trudged up the hills, her pair of amethysts seethed with anger. Long strands of strawberry red were tossed around in the wind, but she paid no heed; her entire focus was on her destination: the haunted castle.

'I am going to enter that stupid castle... or my name isn't Imogen Fair!'

((Sorry for slight control, hope no one minds. If you do just override what I wrote in your own post))

Suddenly one of the boys heading the group stopped. "Wait a minute!" he called everyone to attention, and all the teenagers, old and young stopped. He was an ordinary looking lad, tall enough to be called tall, and attractive enough to be called attractive. He had short black hair that seemed to reflect the light of the midday sun very well. His name was Jack, and he was 17, nearly 18, one of the oldest of the group, and well-respected to know what he's talking about.

"I know we've been planning to get to that castle for days, so we can prove once and for all that all this 'haunted' business the adults keep on telling us is stupid," there was a cheer from some of the younger trainees, but he continued quickly and loudly so as to silence them; "but I think we shouldn't -all- go in, just in case the stories are actually true." By this time Kana was in earshot, and though Howard and Alphonse weren't actually physically there they could see that a meeting was taking place, and would make their way there soon. Of course, Imogen was disgruntledly waiting, itching to reach the top of the hill (she was very passionate about this), and Adam was standing with Jack as one of the leaders of the group.

An 18 year old girl called Serena (but everyone called her 'Rena') spoke next, "He's right, and anyway, the real reason is that the structure may not be safe, so if there are too many of us it could collapse. So! I think only four of us should go. And all of them should be older boys!" There was general murmuring of agreement amongst all the boys, and a smile from Jack to Selena.

"That's not fair!" shouted one girl from the group, and she was joined by disgruntled murmurs from the rest of them. "We should vote!" at this there were cheers and shouts, and a chant almost started but Jack silenced the younger kids again.

"Alright, fine, we'll vote," he conceded, and pointed to the side of the group. "If you really want to go in the castle, and you're sure you're not scared, even if you're left alone, and you know how to climb and you're not a wuss, then stand over there and say why you think it should be you. Everyone else, sit down." Jack went over to stand where he'd pointed, to show the others what he meant if they hadn't got the picture, and Selena sat down. Now was the chance for anyone who wanted to go in the castle to say so. "I'll speak last."

Alphonse shook his head. "No, I haven't seen her at all." replied the farm boy. "I thought she was with you- Ah I know what happened, you let her slip away, didn't you?" he teased jokingly. Having caught his breath, he took hold off the sickle. "I'll do a bit more before I stop for the day." the farm boy spoke with blazing determination for his farm duties.

By a stroke of luck, he spotted a strangely familiar figure in the distance as he turned away from the fencing... Speak of the devil, it's Imogen! Alphonse watched as she went uphill. "What's she doing?!"

He threw the item in his hand and made chase, sprinting across the field of green with great speed, almost as if he had transformed into an athlete. "Howard, come on!"

A bit away from the group that seemed to attempt an organized exploration party of the haunted place, a girl sat down on the ground.

Dirtblond shoulder-touching ponytail, green-greyish eyes, somewhat short and thin, making her look as if she was fourteen years old instead of eighteen. Wearing a plain darkgreen tunic and earthcoloured trousers, she seemed to meld in with the suroundings quite the bit. It was not helped by the fact that her shyness around people usually had her sit very still and silent, giving the impression of being boring.

Lina hold the record of being plain and uninteresting. People usually did not even register her presence or when they did, she would slip out of their minds. Many had been startled when she suddenly had spoken to them, as if she had just stepped out of the thin air instead of walking up to them.
Normally she avoided large groups, but this time they did something interesting.

She furrowed her brows when the group of teens gathered and is holding some sort of voting committee. In the group, she could make out a few familiar faces, namely the older teens (Jack, Adam etc). She would love to reacquaint herself, but her big sister instincts kicked in when she spotted her brothers making faces at her up in the castle's window!

"Paul! Henry! Come back here!" She shouted.

"Noo! You gotta come catch us!" Their pale-faces disappeared and their voices echoed a little before it was snatched away by the air.

"Jack. Adam. Everyone." She said it so simply, even pausing for a moment to catch their eyes and then the rest of the group. "I'm going in to get my little brothers. Rascals as they are... I don't want to lose them."

Family meant so much to her.

Even if they were poor, mom and dad never sold them to slave labour. Even if they had too many mouths to feed, they never leave anyone out. They always managed to find enough to eat for everyone. They were a family. They are a family.

"They're my precious people."

That said, she exerted her strength and sped towards the castle.

Adam began to sit down till a certain brunette shoved him into the area that Jack had mentioned.

Stumbling, he quickly caught himself and whipped round. His eyes glaring at the brunette, only to realize that everyone was staring at him.

"Uh... well I uh-" he began, before another voice was added.

"Jack. Adam. Everyone. I'm going in to get my little brothers. Rascals as they are... I don't want to lose them."

There was a pause, but the female continued. "They're my precious people."

With that said, the female took off and Adam almost groaned. It then hit him that the other teens had yet to hear why he had 'stepped' into the area that Jack mentioned.

"Well... I'm pretty brave and I can definitely climb, and uh, someone has to go after crazy people like her." he finished, his eyes caught figures moving up the hill.

'Hey.. is that?..' he thought to himself.

Unlike the other kids, Imogen did not seat. She folded her arms and waited in a disgruntle manner. When the 'older ones' said something about stating reasons and such, she rolled her eyes. Impatience gnawed her bones so badly that when the 'nominations' began, she was the first who opened her mouth.

"My name is Imogen Fair," The girl placed her hand on her hips, looking at Jack indignantly. "Need I say more?" Everyone knows her brother, Gary Fair: Brawl Champion, Peacemaker, Daredevil. "I'm going to triumph this so-called haunted castle," Emerald eyes shifted and glared at the other kids. "And I'll thrash those who dare objects."

The younger kids cheered; most of them treated the redhead as their idol. Their cheers actually managed to lighten her mood...

However, it immediately sank when she caught sight of two familiar figures making their way to the cliff. "Oh dung," She smiled sheepishly at the others, gave a little wave and sped off after Kana. "Gotta run!"

"KITTY!" The apprentice blacksmith roared from a distance. His heart almost jumped out of his throat when the girl started running again. "Damnit, Alphonse! We must hurry!"

The two boys sped past the group, not even batting an eye on the gathering.

Jack watched as his plan fell apart bit by bit. First Imogen refused to play the game, then Adam was the only other person who wanted to do it. Apparently the rest of the group were all talk. He shrugged. "Fine, the two of us will go, and I guess Imogen as well." He said defeated, and set off without checking to see if Adam was following him. Obviously Kana and Imogen reached there first, and then Alphonse and Howard rushed past him and he jumped. They must be chasing after Imogen, but they wouldn't get there before she went inside.

The door to the castle, somehow, had survived the ages, and though it creaked on its hinges, it still opened easily enough. It was left ajar by the two children who'd snuck in, and a shaft of light lit the room beyond. When you stepped in the first thing you'd notice is the dust, almost suffocating dust, then you'd realise just how quiet it is inside.

All the sounds of the land were blocked by the thick stone walls, and all that remained was the echo of one's own footsteps and those of men thousands of years before. Then the cold reached your skin, and you shivered unpleasantly, uncontrollably. The general feeling of the place simply made you want to leave. But it was this very feeling that would drive the teenagers on. That and other responsibilities.

The interior of the castle was dark, and you had to stick to the edges of the structure, so the windows lit the way, in order to avoid missing a step and falling flat on your face. Wherever the light didn't go, there seemed to be an almost unnatural darkness, as though all the light were being sucked away.

"Wait up!" Jack shouted at the castle in general as he arrived; everyone else had already gone inside as far as he could see.

"Fine, the two of us will go, and I guess Imogen as well." As soon as Jack had uttered those words, Lina stood up from her sitting position from behind the group.
If only a few went inside... it would be easier for her, after all, she was as as most timid when in large groups, in small groups however... she had easier to calm down.

Looking around her to make sure she had a good view of the others, Lina walked up to the group, stopped just a few seconds long enough to draw a deep breath and 'slithered' through the crowd until she came all the way to where Jack had been.

Looking at him, Adam and then the haunted castle, she looked at her feet, not being sure if this was such as good idea after all.
;;No one have ever spoken about what this structure is like. If I hesitate now, I will not find out. If I don't go with them now, I never will dare to do it later either. So... I must. I have to go with them, the ones that enters now. I have to join in this time.;; it was hard to talk herself into braving whatever had been trapped within haunted halls, but something in the back of her head, perhaps her selfloathing for how cowardly and weak she knew herself to be... She wanted to change and this place... if she dared to go inside... she would no longer be a coward. Or so she hoped.

'If I don't... I never will. So I have to. This time.' she spoke to herself mainly, beating fake courage into her head.

"Wait up!" his words snapped her out of it. Jack stood so close to the entrance, or did it already count as having entering?
She ran after him.

He had said they were two including him and Adam, then there was a third already ahead of him, so there were three of them in total.
'With me, four!' she shouted after him, hoping he would not jump as most people tended to do when she called out to them.

"Paul! Henry!"

She felt the carpet beneath her feet; then she fell. Tripping over a stray table leg shaped like a root, she broke her fall by placing her hands in front of her. But she caught something else, too - a tapestry.

A cloud of dust rose and she inhaled a full breath of it. Coughing violently thereafter, she tried in vain to free herself from under the heavy material.

"We-need-some-light!" She shouted to the others while coughing.

While she was running, she did notice a girl running up behind her. Although only looking from the corner of the eye, she knew whose sister she is.

She will not ask for help getting herself untangled.

Unbeknowst to her, her little brothers weren't even in the castle. They've heard gruesome stories from their grandparents and the kids from the village. They were already reconciling with their sisters and wondering where Kana is.

"Kana will give you two a big chore list to do!" Titi lectured Paul and Henry while rubbing Naomi dry.

"We were just playing hide-and-seek and so far, she hasn't caught us yet!" They both grinned victoriously.

"What if she got lost searching for you two?"

"Big sister lost her way here? Come on, Ti, don't you know how amazing Big Sis' sixth sense is?"

"Sixth sense? Isn't that sensing ghosts?" Titi was intrigued.

"Nono! Stupid Paul. It ain't sixth sense! It's her instincts," Henry argued.

"What's the difference?"

Henry rolled his eyes, "It's useful for survival training. She learnt it at the military. Kana told me," he said proudly, revealing a little tidbit none of his brother or sister know.

Deep in the castle, Kana finally crawled out from under, and she saw a shadow of a child move. How she managed to make out the silhouette was a mystery.

The shadow fled.

"Wait!"

Scrambling up, she chased after it, not knowing that they were allowing her the tunnel vision orchestrated especially for the intruders currently in the castle.

Suddenly the child stopped in a doorway, and turned to face Kana. With a voice that chilled her very bones, one unlike any she'd ever heard before, filled with anger, hatred, and evil. "GET OUT!" the child cried, and slammed the door shut, knocking dust off the walls and ceiling and making her cough again. By this time the girl was left alone, far away from the others, having followed the child a long way through the castle. She didn't know it but she was actually underground, and also as she didn't know, the castle extended much further into the earth.

"Where are you?" came the echo of Jack's voice, distant and emotionless after having bounced off these cold walls so many times.

"Where is she?" Jack asked no one in particular. He'd gone into the first room by now, after acknowledging Lina briefly(he was a little surprised by her appearance, but he managed to pull off a greeting without acting too weird). "Adam, help me with this door," he said, and with the help of the older boy, they pushed the door open, allowing light to spill into the large first room. It was a hall with a staircase on either side, and doors lining the walls. There was a staircase going down, as well, underneath the staircases leading to the upper floors. A long carpet lined the floor leading to an empty doorway, at the foot of which a tapestry lay.

With the room now lit it wasn't nearly as eerie, though the cold still hung onto them like sweat on a hot day, uncomfortable and annoying. "And where're Howard and Alphonse? I thought I saw them heading up this way. And their 'kitten'? Where's she?" he was starting to sound a little scared. They'd barely even entered the castle and it was already picking them off without them even knowing it. "We should try to stick together."
