August noticed how much his slash affected Ezekiel, and it empowered him. He tried an upward slash, this time aimed at the lad's shoulder, opposite his sword arm. A smile spread across August's face, one of the things that he was known for.
Those that know August know that he likes nothing more than a good fight. Once he gets into a good, exhilarating fight, he smiles uncontrollably. It's unsure if he is successful by disheartening his foes with his smile, or if August simply fights harder when he gets in that good mood.
In either case, August was, as his reputation goes, the Happy Hunter.

Ezekiel saw the upper slash from August, but couldn't react on time, only to recieve a large and deep gash on the shoulder. More blood loss was making his vision even more blurry. He tried his hardest to stand, but failed and collapsed on the ground, fainted.

Ezekiel remained fainted on the ground. The sword's runes shined while Marzana picked it up, and the handle suddendly started to reach high temperatures, easily burning the skin of any mere mortal man or woman.

The young assassin remained collapsed on the ground, unconscious, his sword continuously glowing some bright purple, killer aura, or rather. instinct. A manipulative sword, however, loyal to its vessel.
