Deleted/Cut Scenes ?, Kill Oscar Part 2

To my knowledge this scene with Rudy examining the Lynda Fembot was only shown on the original 1976 broadcast on ABC and is also available on the Region 2 DVD.

The Sci-Fi Channel's syndicated broadcast always cuts this scene (alonge with a few others to allow more comercial time.






I have never saw this scene in my life.

Another scene that is also chopped from Sci-Fi Channel is when Jaimie calls Steve to inform him about Oscar's kidnapping and the NSB's plans to carry ou Oscar's Final Orders.

The weird thing is, in the 'Last Time' episode recap, they forgot to remove a clip of that phone call, after they removed the scene itself. It still remains in the plot summary on the dvd.

I just wish the DVD's were released here in the states. I could get them at Amazon UK but I believe the DVD's here would not play it. Am I wrong...anybody know for sure?

Yes, you are correct. You have to have a DVD that is NOT ONLY REGION FREE but is also PAL/NTSC playable.

You CAN find DVD players that are region free and PAL/NTSC but the safest way to do it is go to an electronic store and take the Region 2 dvd with you and play every one.

My story, cause you know I have one : I researched what to buy over the internet, going through on line manuals and specs. At first I wanted a portable one, I just bought a player a year ago. [I also looked up DVD "Region Hack" codes on the net...MY player had no region hack.] With portables, you can hook them up to your tv or 'puter.

I didn't find anyone I could trust on the net. So I searched manuals, found Circuit City had one, and I bought it. Took it home. Had my R2's already...didn't work . It was SUPPOSE to work. Took it back. Had the DVD with me, played it on every portable in the store. Nothing!

Went to another store, they were more helpfull and they knew what I was talking about. They said they had PLAYERS but not recorder/players [there's a difference] and no portables that would play it. Found a PLAYER that worked but I had to get the hack code and change the region. I spent $60 on the player and I use it for R2's only. So far, just SMDM/BW. Aside from the cost of the DVD's to come from the UK, I saved $300 on the cost of the player.

I know about being obsessed, I could not get any of the new Stagate novels here in the states and had to order them through Amazon.UK. I would do the same with the SMDM/BW if I could get a DVD player to play them.

I am puzzled. I got a dvd from e-Bay about a year ago, of the original 2 BW episodes from SMDM. It has a security picture on the disc and appears to be original, not a copy, but plays on my regular dvd player.
Theories, anyone?

I think there was more chopped even from the R2 DVD.

I SWEAR (!!) there were a couple of scenes from the BW epi on SMDM.

The first being I KNOW that Steve and Jaime carved their initials in that tree AFTER she became bionic. They had gone for a run or something.

J: Remember this?

S: Yeah

They talked about all the people on the tree (?? that's a little vague) and something about how they never got a chance too (why? I forget the reasoning) but she decides to change it. And I think she says something to that effect, which amuses him. He gives her that little smirk. AWWWWW!!!

WAIT , no, I think it was him. I think she says she's disappointed they never did anything about "them". He says he/they should change that...carve carve carve, she does her initials, he does his and she does the heart??? They do it together??? OHHHHH!!! SO IRRITATED!!

And then, at the creek. The line where she jumps on the rock and he comes after her. Now it plays:

J: Don't that tickles, don't get fresh with me 'cause I'm the one girl who can fight you off.

I swear, back then it was:
J: Don't that tickles! don't get fresh with me Mister, if you're going to start something you better finish it 'cause you know I'm the one girl who can fight you off.

Which was significant to the Bionic Ever After scene on the boat!

And WHY does Jaime say to Steve: “What Oscar said back there, about my [insurance] not covering the cost of bionics…”

Oscar was nowhere near them. Not until they ran back to the ranch AFTER the creek. Some stuff has to be missing.

As far as Kill Oscar, I thought there was another kissing scene on the sub…but since she was in the bottom tube…that one I was willing to concede.

But THE TREE!! That HAD to be there.

Ok, I'm ancient, but I remember when the show first aired, and there was a scene where Oscar mentioned that Jaime's Blue Cross didn't cover Bionic Replacement.

I'll have to watch again. Get out the Kleenex. To this day, I still don't watch the death scene.

I know he said something to Steve about how he couldn't just make it happen and her insurance didn't cover certian things...but not with HER there.

UGH!! Someone's gotta come clean!

In the Oscar and Steve scene, Oscar argued that he didn't know how to justify the expense, but there was no mention of insurance there.

Oh yeah - the scene on the sub....there was a really funny line cut out of the re-runs, where Jaime asks if an Air Force Colonel aboard a Navy submarine can give orders to a civilian who isn't listening to him anyway.

"TWO SUITS!!"

Love that one...

She didn't look quite so positive about things as she climbed into that tube, though! The line that was cut was one of my favorites, but I guess they had to make choices...

That was kind of a weird scene. They are talking about how dangerous it was, she goes in first, he winks, she gives him a look. I think there was a number of emotions that were suppose to show on her face from fear to conveying to him how she felt about him. But that wet suit was not very forgiving. Even his wink was all mushed in his face

Did anyone else think that in the scene on the island, when they're running through the monsoon, Steve looked naked in those flesh-colered shorts....?
