How is everyone going with their NaNoWriMos? I've been looking online and checking what's up with people.

My story is about the start of Delta, which is the future space nation that yours truly is from. (). I think I've got a good idea assembled, of course it's not so good in writing, but I'm not complaining. I have quite a collection of characters now, and I've barely finished just introducing them!

I got a horrible rocky start (first four days nothing, didn't upload the fifth day due to horrific school stuff. I should have expected...) but am trying to get into the rhythm now. Not quite a third of the way there, but I'm trying. Hopefully the end of this weekend will get me past 12000. With school and stuff, there's nothing to do but try. Still planning to finish, all I need are a little over 2000 words a day to get me there!

On another note, this NaNoWriMo progress report chart they've set up is horribly depressing. I have only one green space (Thank you, Election Day).

I am horridly behind.

But I really dig my four main characters, and I think they're going to have a whole lot of fun once I get them all in the same place. Right now I am still in the Land O'Exposition, with under ten thousand words. BUT. Thanksgiving weekend is going to be a big one for me, as I will be on the road 14+ hours, and I don't much care that I'm behind. My goal was to start the novel. So far, I'm farther along in writing a novel than I ever have been before, and we'll see where it goes.

Oh, I am going to try to finish, but schoolwork and my sanity comes first.

Stuck at 17,000 and...clearly not going to finish. Yay! Good news is, I have another plot idea for an unrelated story which I want to do. (Well, maybe that's not good news, as it draws away from me actually working on what I should be working on, which is my NaNo attempt since I still love the plot and characters and want it published.) But I'm happy that I got such a concrete idea of plot and characters while doing NaNo, and I did better than the last 2 years, so even though I'm sad I didn't make it I still feel proud.

I will let you know what happens, but right now I am at 39060 without updating what I did at school (Tell no one.... ). I am planning to finish, but my lack of sleep is making it difficult.....
