The Rules RegisteringWhen registering, please make sure that your username is your character FIRST and LAST name. The middle name is option. If you mess up on this or register before reading the rules, we will change your name when we see it on the application.
Please don’t register, apply, and then disappear, it’s just a waste of our time and yours.
When registering, you are agreeing to be an active and rule-abiding member of the site, if you turn out not to be so, your account will be deleted. There will be routine activity checks to ensure that all characters are active.
If you want to be a canon character, make sure that he/she is open before applying as him/her. If the canon you want is taken but the person is inactive, notify an admin and you can take his/her place.
If you want multiple characters you must be active on all of them and have a minimum of fifty posts on each to make a new one. You are limited to three characters unless otherwise specified by an administrator.
Adults and professors do not go against your character count.
Post your application within 24 hours of registering or your account will be deleted.ApplyingPlease be sure to fill in all of the fields, you can have three chances a day to get everything straight. If by the third chance you are unable to get everything right, you will have to wait until the next day to apply again.
If you are applying for another character, you are not required to fill out the role-play example section.
If you wish for your character to have a special ability or to be something, then you must get permission from an admin before posting it on your application. This includes, but is not limited to: animagus, metamorphagus, veela, werewolves, vampires, Death Eaters, Order Members, and Parselmouth. If your character is a canon that is one of these, you do not have to get permission.
When filling out the role-play example section, try to make your example your best because it will prove to use that you are Semi-Literate or above. This site is strictly Semi-Literate and up and you will be required to prove yourself. (The secret word is lotus.)
A face claim is a requirement for the character, if you are playing a canon character you must use whoever plays them in the movies. Please check the face claim thread to see who is or isn’t taken. If you need help in finding someone, just ask an administrator for help or an extension of finding the face claim.
You can not post anywhere until your application is accepted.PostingThis is a mature website so cussing is allowed, though please be respectful that people don’t generally like to see cuss words. Cussing is allowed but that doesn’t mean you have to cuss every other word. Mature subjects are also allowed on the site but that’s not what life or role-playing is all about. If your thread goes over PG-13, we ask that you put ‘mature’ or ‘R’ somewhere in the Title, Topic Description, or the First Post.
An introduction is required to be 300+ words long (three paragraphs), you can dip below this but if we notice a continual frequency for this, you will be warned. If you continue, you will be suspended. Finally, if you continue, we will delete your character from the site. A regular post is 200+ words (two paragraphs) requirement and the same punishment applies.
Please stay in character when you’re role-playing, namely if you’re a canon character. Draco Malfoy isn’t going to suddenly feel the urge to be a ballerina, it simply isn’t his manner, just how it isn’t Hermione’s manner to date a Slytherin.C-BoxPlease use the name you go by when talking in the c-box, if you’re a guest, please use ‘guest’ as your name.
Don’t spam the c-box. This isn’t kind and is disrespectful.
No more than four posts in a row in the c-box.
Do not advertise your site in the c-box, if you want to advertise, please contact an admin and we will post your advertisement, we only ask that you advertise us in return.Administrators and PrefectsAdmin are the people who run the site, please respect the administrators. If you feel an admin is abusing his/her power, contact another admin.
Prefects are moderators, they help the admin control the site and monitor posts. Show them respect.
If you wish to become an admin or a prefect, don’t bug the admin about it, if we decide that you are admin or prefect material, we will contact you on the matter, not the other way around.
