Dr. Totenkopf: "I have been witness to a world consumed by hatred and bent on self-destruction, watched as we have taken what was to be a paradise and failed in our responsibilities as its steward. I know now that the course of human race has set for itself cannot be changed. I am the last desperate chance for a doomed planet. Now, leave this place or die!"

In this thread, you can post a thought or two about your life that day and the goings on around you.
Remember, this is not "Hijack This" or "Drunk Post". :lol |

I had a personal epiphany at work earlier tonight. After watching the 800th hot chick in a skimpy dress with huge tits heading for the Shrine (usually accompanied by yet another frat-boy looking prettyboy), I started to say "Boy, does my life suck. Here I am, standing guard while watching all these-"
And then I stopped myself. It hit me: all things considered, my life ain't so bad right now. I have a roof over my head, I'm employed, I've got some money in the bank, I'm among friends both online and off, I'm working on a project which could potentially pay off in the long run, I've fulfilled a lifelong dream by writing and publishing a book, I'm working with Namco to promote Splatterhouse (one of a long-time Splatterhouse fanboy's dreams right there)... aside from not being with my kids, I really have no complaints. I'm happy with my life. |

....I'd like to take a moment to echo Rob's sentiments. This time last year, I was going through a horrific breakup, a 7 year relationship over in the most sour finale you could ask for. I had moved across town, and while the new place was rad, it had it's share of hidden problems, which seemed to magnify by the day. I thought my life was about as shitty as a life could get. Then, my niece's dad murdered his wife (NOT my sister, thank christ, that relationship was long over), and hung himself, leaving their son alone with the bodies for a solid day. Suddenly, my struggle didn't seem like the worst thing that could happen to someone, because it wasn't. A year later, and my niece is getting along fine. I'm in a vastly better relationship, and as some of you know, marriage looms within a year or so. SO, the moral of this story is two-fold: When your mom said "no matter how bad you've got it, somebody's got it worse", she wasn't lying, and when Harvey Dent said "It's always darkest before dawn", he wasn't lying either. This one's for everybody struggling out there. G'night. |

Everyone everywhere thinks that no one elses life could be as bad as mine untill they walk in there shoes. Some one some where has always been through worse. Over the past 4 years our lifes have been shitty too we got through the longest part of it and then this recent pile of shit hit the fan so to speak. But things are looking up as far as my marriage is concerned And as long as I have that I know i can survive anything that comes along. And the saying that Money makes things better well it helps but even with money your life can still suck.Money cant buy happiness ....that you find deep with in your soul, And if your lucky enough { like ME} you find some one that you can share all your dreams and fantasys with. its too early and not enough coffee yet :)

I love my life! I did find the other day that when your adorable, brilliant, and sweetheart of a wife ends her visit and goes back to Japan that you're likely to screw up everything you attempt to do for the next couple of days!

I've noticed recently that it's been a long while since I've said something like, "Wow, I wish I was him." Wife, kids, a roof over our heads. That's my world and I wouldn't want these other people's lives now. I do still look to them for inspiration and admire them as people and/or the best at their jobs.

My life has yet to really take off. See, I've been rather standoffish to travel as a young one, partly because it's a trait I inherited from my mother, and partly because I've seen no reason to move out anywhere. I really like home. Hell, I'm there right now. I have become a LITTLE more intrepid since moving to college, but it's still never really been much of a priority.
However, it's only inevitable that in an advanced state of reasoning and observation, I am naturally somewhat bored of a rural establishment. You know, I've never been to New York City? But hell, no rush. I'm still damn young by standards and I've never seen any immediate motivation to get on out there. But mark my words: At the very latest, after college is over for me (and if I don't go to grad school), whether or not it ends favorably... that's when my next life, my more intrepid life, shall commence. We disengage, we turn the page. :D Of course, that mindset could very well change either, but who can tell what the slabs of our unwritten future shall chisel into the records of time? Anyway, I like my life the way it is now for certain. I'm just waiting for the chrysalis to release the contents. |

I really cannot bitch too much about my life. Kelly and I might not have alot of money, but we have enough to take care of ourselves. We haven't any really problems over the years, and when we did have some problems, we had great family and friends to help us out. We have a decent roof over our heads, everyone is reasonably healthy, we both now have steady jobs with better then average job security.
I can't really bitch. |

Ive had to help many people out that have been going through problems and always saying that no one can have a worse life than theirs. I usually do end up proving them wrong and helping them in the end. I guess Id rather help others out than go travel or do other fun things.
Though recently, my life has gotten a better than it was a few months back. I found a beautiful girl that I work with that was in a situation with a very abusive boyfriend. She was very afraid to even talk to anyone. Even though it took me quite awhile to get her to talk I finally got her to leave him. And to be honest that was the first "Thank you" that I got that I felt I deserved. As for me, I take life a bit differently. I wont say my life is bad or worse than others. Also I wont say I got a very good one. For me, whatever happens, well happens. I wont let it effect me like its the worst thing ever. Hardly at all, infact I just deal with everything like its a normal thing and I just need to overcome it. Maybe thats not the best example but I cant really explain it any better. I dont have anything to complain about anyways. I have a roof over my head. Finally got me a girl that I saved from an abusive relationship, that I care very deeply for. We both have steady jobs and incomes. Always have enough for food on the table. Got a fairly decent car that I just paid off last week which really helps. |

My life is like the Winn-Dixie commercial - "Its getting better all the time"
Especially since I chose to remove the negative influences that were bringing me down. That and, how can I have all intentions getting so much done around my house, yet when I go to start, I can't seem to figure out where to begin.... stupid A.D.D. ... |

My Life is GREAT. I am married to the most wonderful guy any where. I would walk across hell and back for him and he knows it. We are very very happy and to me that is all that matters the rest is inmaterial. As long as I have him I need nothing more. Things come and go but True love never dies.
I LOVE YOU BABY  |

I'm still half asleep so bare with me. Life takes unexpected detours and exits. You think you're heading toward the edge of a cliff only to find a new road never taken. You think you know where you're heading and what you need to do but sometimes you're wrong. You have to live in the moment, cast off the veil of "what's expected of you", thrown down your gauntlet of tradition and go forth and conquer. Do what feels right to you. :soapbox

Life is a strange turn of events. It takes you down roads you never thought you would take it makes you explore things long since forgotten. It certainly changes your wants and desire along with thoughts and dreams. It can lay dorment for what seems like days or years. The funny thing is you never really noticed it changing till you have some life altering event take place and then you think oh damn where did that come from. Then your left to decide if its worth the risk to change it or leave it the way it was stay safe and grounded. Well I am here to say that it is always worth the risk , cause with out risk you never grow you never experience love and pain and some times pain can be good. It makes you re think things about your self. A favorite song comes to mind here By Garth Brooks I could have missed the pain but I would have to miss the dance. ^_^

I'm actually pretty down in the dumps. I missed my bus and am currently looking for phone numbers of family and friends so someone can help me out. I actually have no clue how the hell to get to school and its my first fucking day. I'm screwed. Its fucking orientation and I'm missing it right now because I went to look for a fucking lock. I didn't take my other option because it wasn't the right fucking bus number. At least I might be slightly closer if I went that path, hell it was taking me to the same blasted place. I'm toast. This is the ballest of balls. I was for once in my life excited because things were gonna change. Things never ever change for me so a relocation, a new school I thought it might be good. So far its fucked up right to hell. Fuck. I'm looking at optional bus routes and the tell me nothing I'm fucking lost. And I'm in my house. God dammit I'm feeling fucking defeated. No one is home either. My mom is doing some shit for my druggy ass sister and my stepdad is fucking around in the kitchen of his restaurant. Jeezus fuck. I do NOT know what to do.

Sorry your having such a bad day ... But hey it could always be worse and tell your self things happen for a reason although it may not make any sense to you now but in the end it does. Like the story i heard when i was young . This girl traveled the same road home from work everyday then one night she was late getting off from work and being so late decided to take a short cut got home went to bed and the next morning was watching the news and if she had gone her normal route there was a chance she would have been involved in the worst accident that area had seen. 20 or so people died that night on the same road that she took everynight . Somes a detour is lifes way of saying " I just saved your ass, you can thank me later" :notworthy

Over the past few days or so I've been trying to come up with something profound, deep, or especially meaningful for my 10,000th post.
So far no luck... So instead I will simply say that life is good. No major complaints and I'm having a blast along the way... Had a interview for another promotion this afternoon... I think it went pretty well. We'll see what happens. Apparently there are only four candidates being considered so I should have a decent chance I think... |

Isn't it funny that a certain song, or a certain smell can bring back memories and images as vivid as if you were there? They say smell is the strongest provoker of memories, I believe it. A certain song you hear will bring back memories of a person or a place in your past. A smell, like a cologne or perfume will bring you back to that moment. Funny isn't it. Memories.......a blessing and a curse all at the same time. Sometimes we want nothing more than to hold onto that moment, that recollected memory and never let it go if only to live in that moment as long as we can or we want nothing more than to slam our head against the desk, wall, or floor if only to drive the memory of that person, place, event out of your mind :deadhorse . Amazing how we can be at the mercy of our own selves.
