On topic, yeah... Dead as dillinger I'm afraid. But if it makes you feel any better, most other forums I've participated in that used to be heaving with activity have suffered similar fates, shrunk close to early 2000 levels of activity where everything moved at a lazy carrier pigeons pace. People I've known for years have drifted away to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr et al or by a seemingly large margin just gave up socializing on the net altogether. I think I may be getting closer to the latter category far as my motivation goes. I've made like a handful of posts on the few sites I do visit this year and it's only getting less and less as time moves on. |

^ This. On the Samurai Archives, we have over 9400 registered members and it's been a couple of days since anyone's posted. We have the occasional bursts of activity, but nothing like 2005-2009 when he had dozens or hundreds of posts a day. Message boards are just not the media of choice these days for casual day to day chatting.
