New article in PS Magazine?, original games confirmed?

A co-worker of mine informed me today that there was a three page article on Splatterhouse in the new issue of PlayStation Magazine. I've asked him to bring it in so I can scan it.

Anyone else seen this?

Shit....with what cover? Not GOW right, that was last month?

I think it has been mentioned the that the first game would be on the disk but I haven't heard about the other two....must investigate further.

I still want Wanpaku Graffitti packaged in also. I did some checking around the net and I have come up with nothing else.

I still have yet to get the issue (my co-worker didn't have it, he just saw it, but was planning to pick it up and give it to me to scan).

But if PS Magazine has confirmed it, then I will too. :smug I can't confirm Wanpaku, though, as I believe it has not been included despite my requests. :(

I can guarantee that Wanpaku will not make the cut being that there was never an official english release. I do wish that we could change the version of Splatterhouse being played since I think the Japanese Part II is much more superior than the NA release.

I agree. The western translation really takes the edge off of the tragedy of the Jennifer fight in SH1, and I've always loved the idea that you killed her, now you're going straight to Hell itself to bring her back.

There's that... but I also wish we could just get both versions so everyone'd be happy. Throw in the U.S. TG16 port of 1 & the Japanese version of Part 3 along with the Japanese Part 2 and WG and we'd have a perfect set.

I was at Barnes and Nobles today and found the magazine but it comes in a cardboard envelope so it's not possible to read the article without buying it (unless I wanted to tear it open there and face the consequences).

I aw the magazine today(but didn't buy it) at the super market. No, it wasn't in a package(it was open for anybody to skim through). To confirm, YES, there are some new screens. One has giant eyeball(look like it's the eyeball to those giant mouths we've seen in past screens), and another features the gate to, what I believe, is the carnival area that has a big sign that says "Dandy Land". There is, of course, a lot of fight scenes. Looks beautiful.

And yeah, there's a little bit about how the 3 SH games will be included, but that they have no idea what you have to do to unlock them.

I understand, big guy. I wasn't trying to be a jerk or something like that. I remember it was like this for Megaman 9 a few years back. Nintendo Power had an official article with the creator (Inafune) but Capcom's forum leaders weren't allowed to talk about it just yet.

I think in the old Bottlerocket trailers, we saw a furniture "golem" boss. Chances are that it is the same thing. While it is not a room at attacks Rick, it BETTER be controlled by a painting of an eye.

I don't want to say too much, but I will say the following. To the best of my knowledge:

1. Yes, they are unlockable.
2. No, they are not DLC.
3. No, they are not GameStop/Amazon exclusive preorder bullshit.
4. No, they are not platform exclusive.
5. No, they don't cost extra in any way.
6. No, Wanpaku Graffiti is not included. :(

Interesting that Kotaku picked up on this and not the interview I had with Dave Wilkins and Dan Tovar last year. I'm glad to see that the comments on Kotaku seem to be positive so far, aside from at least one I saw - yet another person passing judgment before they play. I'm excited, but I refuse to actually say "this is awesome" before I play it. It looks awesome, to be sure, but we'll see in Q3 if it's as good as I'm being told it is.

Dire, if you wanted to, you could feed some positive information to Kotaku. I have mentioned before that all the general population really knows about the game is the screenshots. They do not read information or articles on titles unless the information is given through their favorite game-oriented websites.

Hmmm. I'll consider that. And here I thought they just didn't pick up on the interview because it wasn't controversial enough. I had no idea (because I didn't bother to look) that you could just send them info.
