For those who haven't taken a look yet, here's a sneak preview at Pixar's films up until 2013!
"Up" Releases May 29th, 2009 Summary: "Carl Fredricksen has spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But one day, Carl finds himself to be 78 years old and his life has seemingly passed him by, until he befriends a chubby 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the jungle." "Toy Story 3" Releases: June 18th, 2010. Two versions of this film's summary exist; a POSSIBLY scrapped version written by Jim Hertzfeld of Disney's CGI animation company Circle 7 Animation, and an offical version that has of yet been unreleased by Pixar. Here is the FIRST VERSION SUMMARY THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE ACTUAL SUMMARY: "Focusing on the malfunctioning Buzz being sent to Taiwan, believing that he will be fixed. When Hamm searches on the Internet, however, he finds out that the malfunctions are happening to many toys around the world and the company has issued a massive recall. Fearing Buzz's destruction, a group of Andy's toys (Woody, Rex, Slinky, Mr. Potato Head, Hamm, Jessie, and Bullseye) venture to rescue Buzz. At the same time Buzz meets other toys from around the world that were once loved but have now been recalled." "Newt" Releases: June 2011 Summary: "Newt and Brooke live in a community college science lab and don't care for each other, yet as the last remaining blue-footed newts on the planet they are forced to mate to save the species. Rydstrom explained 'Newt is smart but he's never had to think for himself and is pampered. Brooke on the other hand is streetwise and not to be messed with.'" "The Bear and the Bow" Releases: Christmas 2011 Summary: "In mythical Scotland, Merida, a member of the royal family, decides to give up her family name for her dream of becoming an archer. Merida makes some kind of reckless choice, resulting in the destruction of her father's kingdom and her mother's life. Merida then struggles to, set things right." ![]() "Cars 2" Releases: 2012 No summary yet. (No picture yet) "John Carter Of Mars" Releases: 2012 Summary: An adaptation of Edgar Rice Burrow's "Barsoom" novel series. It is is planned to be a mix of live action and CGI. (No picture yet) "1906" Releases: Possibly 2013. Summary: Similar to "John Carter of Mars", it is a mix of live action and CGI. It is based on the events of the 1906 earthquake. Thoughts? Predictions? Post 'em! |

"Newt" is the one I'm most looking forward to! Ironic it takes place in a college when I'll be in college when it comes out! XD Also it looks kind of similar to WALL*E in the whole love story between two very different characters aspect. "The Bear and Bow" looks interesting to me too, mostly 'cause it's going to be Pixar's first true female heroine character. Plus, SCOTLAND. ... D: What, Scotland's cool. THE MEN ARE SO MANLY THEY WEAR SKIRTS. And since Cars was one of my favorite Pixar movies, I am PRAYING that the sequel does it justice. Cars 2, be good, please. <3 |

I tend to dislike sequels, too, and I think TS3 is asking for "Shrek the Third i.e. this-franchise-has-been-thoroughly-milked" kind of trouble. Cars2? Not sure, never actually saw Cars1, I'm afraid — but either way, I'm a little leery of it.
All of new originals look like they have great potential. I'll be interested to see more of them. I especially like the sound of Bear and the Bow, though. |
