Thalecia shrugged, pulling one of the sais out and holding it up as she walked. "I don't see why not. Properly used they're quite versatile, if you ask me. The gaps can block other weapons, and the blades are pretty self explainatory. They do, however, take quite a great amount of hand-eye coordination, not to mention speed, precision, and the like." she mused, watching as he moved the rocks around.
"Though I guess you could say it's not my primary weapon." she commented with a smile, figuring he would catch what she meant without her having to explain. In any fright, if she thought she was going to have a rough time, she would pick her dragonic form over her elven one. There was so much more to do that way. "So do you come up here often?" she wondered, again making simple conversation as she walked along behind him, putting her weapon back into place.

He remained aware of her presence and her exact location based on her footsteps and the disturbances of the air currents around her so he wasn't worried about her walking behind him though normally he would have been anyway. "I usually do and it's pretty solitary since I block the only path into the area with what others think are rock slides." He answered catching her remark but letting it pass. He had more important things to worry about as far as sounds went, like the sound of giants approacing at the moment. "Guess we'll get to see first hand how you do in battle. He replied with a smirk.

Thalecia nodded blandly, looking around. "Makes sense." she mused. The place seemed pretty deserted. Aside from the occasional sound of an animal, there didn't appear to be anyone else in this general chain of the mountains. However, her thoughts on that quickly changed as she heard the distant thumping of something large, coming at them rather fast. "Yes, I suppose so." she mused. Her first instinct was to shift into her dragon form. Fight giant with gianter, but she remained as she was, drawing her weapons and rolling her shoulders back as she loosened her stance.
Tossing a side glance at Kuromaku, she shifted to stand a tad closer, her eyes locked on the direction that the sounds were approaching from, anticipating when they would be there.

As they were in the mountains Kuro had pretty much guessed rock giants by the time the creatures actually got there and he remembered not so fondly the times when he was younger and had very little idea at all about who he was in the first place but now they weren't too bad for him and he hoped that the progeny of Ciraxis would be at about the same level. Given where they stood and the size of the giants made both of them apparent pretty quickly and Kuro braced himself for the incoming thrown boulders. There were two and they were huge, each about half the size of a small tree and Kuro grinned under his mask, telekinetically grabbing both boulders and letting them fall and land closely enough to make the rock giants think that they had hit so they wouldn't throw any more. " I'll take whichever one you don't." He whispered to her.
