starlight, i will be chasing the starlight
UNTIL THE END OF MY LIFE, I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S WORTH IT ANYMORE

Face Claim: Jared Leto.
Eye color: Grey.
Hair color/style: Brown, parted to the left side.
Height: 5'9.
Weight: 160.
Distinguishing features: No scars; tattoo on left wrist. He has a very distinct Irish brogue however.
General appearance:
At the present time Loki takes the form of a man in his early thirties, an appearance that, at first, he wasn't too fond of but has grown to like. Loki has only regenerated once before. Loki has messy brown hair, which he occasionally grows long before cutting short again; he is constantly messing or changing his look, as he's not satsified with his appearance. He has quite a young, angular face and can often be mistaken for younger than his physical appearance. Loki's face definitely has a youthful look to it, but his eyes give away everything. He has rather cold blue-grey eyes, which he actually deeply dislikes and often wishes to have green eyes. He is slightly long-sighted but refuses to wear glasses for this.
He isn't incredible tall, but stands at just 5'9. Loki's body fluctuates between being muscular and being rather thin. He likes to keep his life active and eating isn't often as high on his list of things to do as it used to be. Loki's diet often consists of nothing but junk food and anything that will make his gain weight. However, Loki still posesses a large amount of strength in his body. His body is usually toned, despite the fluctuating weight gain and weight loss. He can borderline being too thin and being just right. He doesn't have a complete grasp on health. He has a tattoo on his left wrist which he got recently.
His dress sense is generally one that fits in with the persona he has adopted on Earth. He has been there for a while now and fallen into a lapse of genuine care for his dress sense. It usually consists of a pair of jeans, some brand of trainers, a t-shirt and perhaps a hoodie or a checkered t-shirt. Loki doesn't specifically look for anything that grand to wear and resists drawing attention to himself by wearing anything completely out of the ordinary. He is a typical Abercrombie and Fitch and Urban Outfitters person.

Strengths:
    - Bold. There's not a lot that Loki will visually show fear to, even if he feels it inside. This also makes him a hard person to read on the surface.
    - Determination. Loki rarely gives up when he makes a decision and will see things through to the end.
    - Empathy. Loki finds it easy to read other people and understand what they're feeling.
    - Quick to pick things up. If you talk and it appears Loki isn't listening, it's not true; Loki picks up on the little things very quickly, even in a heated conversation.
    - Physical strength. Loki is a very hands on person, and is pretty swift with his physical fighting.
    - Making plans and following them through. Loki can be a very strategic person.
Weaknesses:
    - Short tempered. Loki is known to snap at people and lose his temper quite fast.
    - Loki loves stealing, he revels in the thrill of it, and is easily distracted by something he wants to 'repossess' or 'liberate'.
    - Bad in immediate situations, Loki is better at 'game plans'.
    - Loki always likes being in control, and often clashes with other people in a situation where they both want control.
    - Loki is a very much a heart over head person, he doesn't always think things through properly.
    - He can be a very jealous person at times, and sometimes his jealously clouds his judgement.
Dreams:
    - Showing someone else the Universe and stars. Loki wants to bring someone else to see everything he'd already seen, to see their reaction. Someone's reaction to something he's familiar with will allow him to appreciate what he is more.
    - Loki often has dreams of being a human forever. There are times when he can't stand the thought of being a Time Lord, and wishes to enjoy 'human things'.
    - Peace between species in the Universe, which of course will never happen.
Fears:
    - Loki fears getting close to anyone and then losing them. He spends a lot of time of Earth and tries to keep himself to himself.
    - Loki fears the uncontrollable, and hates things being out of his uncontrol.
    - Becoming too involved with being human and falling too much in love with Earth and his 'life' on it.
    - Loki has never actually killed anyone and he fears a day might come where he'll never no other choice.
    - Burning bridges that he's made over his lifetime and losing allies.
Personality:
Loki's greatest love is Earth; whilst some of his kind take a liking to Earth or an affection for them, Loki chose to build a life on Earth, and has been living there for the past year or so. Loki relays a fake 'heritage' from Ireland and tells people he's from Hillsborough in Northern Ireland because they're the "nice side". He speaks with a deep and obvious Irish accent, with enforces his story of where he's from. Loki's love of Earth started fifty years ago, and has continued on ever since. He is fascinated with humans, and despite his many visitations he has not grown tired of them and is constantly amused by them, and learns something new from them all the time. Loki's love for Earth is enough to make him deeply wish he was human and not Gallifreyan, it's not enough for him to leave behind being a Time Lord, however. Despite his love of all things human, Loki despises the television and the boring and monotonous shows they put on there, more often than not some ridiculous reality TV show which Loki will claim to hate and despise and end up watching for twenty four hours straight.
Despite all this Loki never counts himself as a lonely person, and would prefer to be by himself. Loki likes being able to put himself as number one, and occasionally only has the will to look out solely for himself. Loki deeply enjoys life on Earth, and despite beginning to make a life there being a Time Lord comes first for him, just as when he has people around him he still comes first. Loki tends to look out just for himself rather than anyone else. He's developed a knack of being a complete expert in the area of stealing things. This means he can easily 'liberate' anything he wants without too much hassle. Loki has a skewed sense of morality, where he finds stealing acceptable given the object had no 'real' previous owner.
This first stemmed from Loki's habit of reading the newspaper every day in Starbucks when he goes for a coffee, and 'liberating' said paper. Loki's idea of liberation is a petty excuse for his love of stealing things. Loki likes to push how attentive humans can be, but also likes the thrill of stealing something or having little souvenirs. Most of the time he finds he can get away with stealing a lot of things, from something small like the newspaper to something a bit bigger, although Loki's kleptomania is never intended to be in anyway malicious. Loki doesn't steal personal items, because he knows they're attached to people. He will only steal items that have no previous owners, therefore something that's in a shop.
One of Loki's loves that he's come to experience on Earth is music, and after starting a life in the UK he'd already mastered how to play the guitar. Loki tends to float between bands and fill in temporary for bands when they lose a guitarist or a singer, as he tries to avoid getting too attached to a life on Earth, which, of course, has already happened. Loki likes to believe he can disassociate himself with his life on Earth, which is something he has yet to realise he's unable to do. Loki dislikes making any kind of personal relationship on Earth, but has been known to 'date' women, however, very briefly. Loki constantly regrets falling for humans and has banned himself from doing so, although occasionally one will slip through Loki's defense and he'll let his guard down for a while and start to let his heart win over. Loki is pretty quick to build the wall back up again when he realises how close someone is getting to him, and he'll cut them off.
Loki has a deep set hatred for any kind of heirachy, and despises things such as politics or political parties. He is 'left wing', but not to the point of communism. He believes in freedom and the ability to do what one wishes to do, which is partially the reason he left Gallifrey after graduating. Loki's beliefs are set in stone and although he doesn't like being challenged, a bit of friendly arguing and debate never goes amiss with Loki. He thrives on facts and using them as a weapon against people, and enjoys having something with intelligence to bounce his ideas off of. He finds humans can be extremely intelligent sometimes, although he has, admittedly, come across some rather less than intelligent ones. Loki dislikes reading, however, he finds it antiquated and boring, although he notes that book hold a lot of knowledge in them. Loki much prefers to hold a conservation with someone and find out information that way.
Loki has a love for mischief and causing debates, he loves challenging people and seeing people argue or fight. Again, Loki's intent is never malicious - he doesn't want to see anyone get hurt, he just likes the whole thrill of the game. When faced with adversity, Loki likes to see if he can pass someone's anger on to someone else by 'weasling' his way out of whatever is going on, and then tends to stand around just to watch the fireworks fly. Loki can be devious and cunning, hence his placement in The Prydonian Chapter, which have been known to produce renegades. He just absolutely loves messing with humans, not to annoy them or to hurt them, but because he loves to see their reactions. Loki's actions can be misinterpreted as him being an arsehole, which is true on some level, but for the most part Loki just likes messing around with people.
Loki likes to keep moving, he doesn't like monotony or staying in one place too long. This is why when he joins bands he is simply a 'temporary' band member, because he doesn't stay around long. Loki loves travelling, especially around Earth, and spent a good few months living in Egypt before growing old of that and living back in Edinburgh again. Loki quites like a good night life, because he enjoys the companionship of humans. He has few friends on Earth, and occasionally finds himself making human friends, although doesn't explain to them anything about his true self and feeds them his fake history from Ireland.
Loki has a hatred of being out of control, and often finds himself snapping at people and losing his temper when he finds himself being challenged in a role or being in control. Loki likes to believe he can have total control over people, which, of course, simply isn't true. Loki can find himself in a very hypocritical situation, always speaking about freedom and everyone's right to be free, but finds himself attempting to control every aspect of his life and occasionally other people's too. He can be incredibly nosey about people's lives and often hands out unwanted advice to people he doesn't even know. Loki's involvement in other people's business can often land him in a great deal of unwanted trouble.
Loki is very freespirited and happy, and he likes nothing more than to see people around him happy and enjoying themselves. It's one of the reasons Loki likes music so much, because when he's on stage he can see people who are happy and enjoying themselves with their friends. It brings a great significance and purpose to Loki and he feels like entertaining people and making them happy is possibly one of the best things he could ever do. He likes to make jokes and feeds and thrives on sarcasm. He likes similiar minded people who has a quick wit about them and humour. Loki strongly dislikes people who are jaded or too serious, about themselves or about a particular subject. Despite this Loki has noted; "pretension is can be the only redeemable attribute to some people".
Despite this Loki has a darker personality, which can often be seen when he feels like he's out of control of out of his depth. This change can be extremely sudden and cause extreme mood swings without Loki. This often makes him appear to be extremely unstable and prone to make rash and subsequently stupid decisions. To Loki, hindsight is a bit of a bitch. He can be easily infuriated if provoked severely and this can have a range of different outcomes. Loki is very much a pacifist, but has been known to fight or hit people. He has deep set moral beliefs, and strong beliefs on many Human things which he has come to understand, especially all things political. However, he often deviates from this and uses Consequentialism as a weapon in these situations; the ends justify the means.

my life, you electrify my life
LET'S CONSPIRE TO RE-IGNITE, ALL THE SOULS THAT WOULD DIE
JUST TO FEEL ALIVE

Birth planet: Gallifrey.
Parents: None, he was loomed.
Siblings: None.
Love(s): Since being on Earth Loki has had a few what may feebly be described as 'relationships', and was once engaged but left his human fiance at the alter. Loki's view on love is rather obscure, and he despises the word.
Children: None.

History:
Loki was loomed on the planet Gallifrey, he subsequently posesses no actual mother or father as such. Like all Gallifreyans he was force-educated at a young age, on a very intense level, and had an immediate interest in learning about the Universe around him. When he was eight Loki was taken to look into the Untempered Schism he was inspired by what he saw, making him work harder and giving him a taste for travel and freedom. Originally the inspiration from it made him work, but he became jaded and scared of what he'd seen in the Untempered Schism. Mostly, however, it simply intruiged him, and he became obsessed with working hard for a long time. At one point he exceeded his peers, though after the obsession wore off as he saw through everything that took place on Gallifrey. He was chosen as a Time Lord, and was placed in the Prydon Chapter, and attended the Prydon Academy near Mount Cadon on Gallifrey. He wasn't a terribly bad student, though he neither excelled magnificantly nor failed. It was through Prydon that Loki developed his unusual nature and knack for mischief. He grew to quite like the Academy, despite how jaded he had become toward it.
Loki graduated quite high in his class, despite his wish to get away he'd still worked exceedingly hard, though didn't graduate completely on top. Loki did well, however. After graduating from Prydon Academy Loki had made the decision to leave Gallifrey. He had grown weary and jaded of everything there and wished to see more away from it, his decision had been a long time coming. Loki simply couldn't understand how anyone could stay on Gallifrey for long, and, keeping in tradition with Prydon producing devious Time Lords, Loki left. He'd always felt like his place was amongst the Outcasts in Gallifrey, and had grown to despise the structure within Gallifrey. Loki was two hundred and thirty when he graduated. He headed straight for Earth, and immediately fell in love with it all. He spent a long time on Earth, specifically in Ireland after he regenerated. He regenerated with a thick Irish brogue, which was what originally brought him to Ireland to begin with. It was there he started to deeply investigate the history of Ireland, and built a fake history for himself as a cover up on Earth.
If asked about his life on Earth, Loki will feed people a fictional story. He passes himself off as a thirty year old (although, depending on who's asking, he will change his age). Loki has built himself quite a life on Earth, and in between travelling to and fro often finds himself returning to one place - Edinburgh. Loki quite likes Scotland, although his love for everything human stretches a lot further than that. He has been to and fro from Earth ever since he first arrived there almost three centuries ago. Loki still finds immense happiness in travelling and being able to leave whenever he wishes. Loki attempts to avoid any kind of relationship with humans, although of course this isn't always possible. In late 1888, Loki was visiting Earth, much before his recent regeneration. Around that time he had no back story to give anyone. He met a young lady called Frances, who, despite his better judgement he fell for. Loki was fascinated by humans, and she fascinated him the most. She refused to ever reveal anything much about herself, as Loki had told her he would also refuse to divulge information. Loki was just beginning to trust her when she was murdered, reportedly by Jack the Ripper, who Loki also had a run in with. He left though, unable to save Frances, and still holds a deep love for the Victorian era, despite everything. From there on Loki resolved never to fall for anyone, human or not, again.
Despite this Loki was engaged in the mid-1990s, whilst on Earth in Yorkshire. He'd been seeing a woman called Angela for seven months on and off. She was a check out girl at a local shop and Loki had been lying to her, telling her he'd been working as a builder. When she questioned him about his job, they'd been standing next to the construction site and it had been the first thing that came to mind. He often disappeared and returned, telling Angela he was travelling to see his family in Ireland. They were about to be married, and he told her he'd fallen out with both sides of his family and that none of them would be attending his wedding. Loki was at the alter in the church, about to be wed to Angela when, overcome with cold feet (and some guilt from his lies) he turned and left her there. He simply said he'd "left the ring in the car" and never returned. Loki still feels guilt up to now about leaving Angela, and has visited her in Yorkshire in his regenerated state to check that she's having a happy life. Unfortunately, Loki found that she wasn't, and he still feels torn up about his lies to her.
Loki returned to Gallifrey for the Time War, despite his disposition with Gallifrey and his boredom with it. He was one of the thousand who left in Romana's ship to save himself from death. Loki still questions his decision to go in the ship, and wonders if he should have fought and died on Gallifrey, but other times is thankful for the chance that he received. Loki has since lived almost permenantly on Earth, and came up with his name, Loki MacMahon due to his regeneration. He relays that he was born in Hillsborough in Northern Ireland. He calls his parents Conan MacMahon and Maebh MacMahon, both of which he claims are from Irish ancestry and claims both are still alive and well in Ireland. He has recently been playing a full time post in a band as their guitarist.

but i'll never let you go
IF YOU PROMISE NOT TO FADE AWAY, NEVER FADE AWAY

Weapon(s): None, though Loki is pretty handy in using whatever's around him as weapon if necessary.
Important Tech: Loki has a sonic pen, which he is constantly misplacing, and subsequently freaks out about. He claims it was an important present from his father.
Other items: Loki has a TARDIS, with a working Charmeleon circuit, although for a while he hasn't used it. It currently masquarades as a wardrobe in his flat on Earth. Loki also has a mass of other items he's collected over his years of being a 'kleptomaniac' on Earth.

See Dorian Walters or below.

Dorian was now deeply regretting giving her the keys, although as far as he could see the incident had been unavoidable. It would probably still have happened had he been driving... He was relieved to see the car was in absolute perfect condition, but it just confused him more. Brodie and him studied different things at University, but they often intertwined with their lessons. They both knew only too well it wasn't feasibly possible to just 'hit air'. It wasn't malleable like that. They must have hit something, perhaps an animal on the side of the car that had just kept running... but even then Dorian was sure it would have left some sign of a collision on the side of his car. He checked again, just to make sure he hadn't missed anything, running his hand over the smooth surface of the car and looking at it. Nothing at all that suggested they had struck anything.

"Brodie!" Dorian snapped, as she climbed the crash barrier at the side of the hard shoulder. He looked back at his car, the hazard lights still flashing, music still thundering through the speaker system. Dorian was reluctant to leave it like that at the side of the road, convinced he'd come back and some lumbering idiot in a massive lorry would have ploughed into it. However, he refused to leave Brodie by herself, and torn between his car and his best friend, Brodie was always going to win the battle. He scaled the crash barrier easily, catching up with her fairly quickly. Unlike her he had managed to avoid the nettles, looking around at the ground. It was almost completely pitch black out near the woods, the lights from the motorway only faintly lit it.

Dorian wasn't sure what they expected to find, he only knew that Brodie was convinced something was out there, and Dorian was too. He understood her curiousity in finding out the source of the light, but at the same time he'd much rather just back in the car and drive on to the party and forget the whole incident. Dorian liked adventure and the like, but right now he just wasn't in the mood. He was already pretty spooked by Brodie's driving and the car, and now they were just wandering closer into danger, Dorian was sure of it. He had a bad feeling about what they were going to find in the wood - if they were going to find anything at all. He looked over at Brodie, a little worried; she was the kind of girl who liked to go looking for trouble, where as trouble usually just found Dorian. He found her intense interest for whatever was in the wood to be slightly out of character for her. She wasn't usually the type of person who actively seeked out something that had this potential. Then again, Dorian thought, she chased storms for fun.

"Brodie," he said, catching her up and pulling his hoodie off. "Have this," he told her. It was a sign he had relented and would join her in investigating in the woods, and also because he was convinced she would be freezing in what she was wearing. At least Dorian was appropriately dressed in jeans, and Brodie had little shorts on. He looked down at his 'I am the Stig' t-shirt and then carried on wandering further in with her. He wished he'd thought to bring a torch, because the light from the motorway was dimming more and more as they ventured further. The trees beside them were starting to grow thicker and closer together, signalling they were practically out of the field and into the wood already. Dorian had no way back now, he had to stay with Brodie, he felt protective of her now. It meant that whatever was in the wood was sparking his interest too now, he forgot about his car and trying to get to the party and was walking almost ahead of Brodie now. His priorities were changing the deeper they got into the woods, his heart beating hard against his chest. Twigs and branches broke beneath his Converses as they walked, and the cold wind blew through the trees. The wood was eerie alright, he could understand what was sparking Brodie's interest but there was something about her face... Dorian looked around at her, almost unable to make out her features as they walked. Dorian pulled his iPhone out, scrolling through applications, he found his Torch application and held the phone out infront of them, lighting their way. He turned to Brodie again, shining it next to her so he could see her face. She looked almost posessed by something, and he felt a wave of panic shiver through him. Turning around again he continued walking, the phone held out in front of him. Dorian was ever so thankful for his iPhone right now. Deeper into the wood he saw the light again and he looked at Brodie, speeding his walk up. His brain told him to turn around, but his curiousity was going to kill him if he didn't continue on.
