Hello, everyone!
Happy end of the semester! I know a lot of people have either finished exams, are taking exams, or are about to take them. Which means summer has come upon us, and the holidays are going to give us time to roleplay again!
As I'm sure you can all notice, we have a new skin and graphics! I've been working pretty hard on them, and I'm glad we could get it all fixed and up on the board.
Also, thank you guys for all the feedback on the survey so far! It's been really helpful. I've started to implement some changes (which I'll talk about in a minute), and I have plenty more for the next coming weeks. If you haven't taken the survey yet, I would really appreciate it if you would. The link is
just here. It shouldn't take more than ten minutes, I should think.
And now, for the changes that have taken place so far! Most of this has been done to documentation; we have streamlined things, and expanded others.
- The Rules - Made shorter, some slight changes (re-read these!)
- Factions and Groups - formerly "Finding Your Place" - Outlines all the factions and subfactions. Most changes include Time Lords (now with three factions), Torchwood 21 (more estranged from the other Torchwoods now), and the Forge (a new usergroup).
- The Show Canons - Now with only canons from the show. Added Ohica (High Priestess of the Sisterhood of Karn) and Leela (Leader of the Outsiders).
- The Site Canons - The biggest addition! Includes a bunch of positions (departments and the like) for each usergroup. Also has character "plot bunnies" and a lot of cool ideas for characters.
- The Application - Shortened a good deal. I got rid of all those "likes, dislikes" sort of things.
Basically, I've wanted to make things more helpful and less rambling. I think some things are more to the point and easier. Hopefully a lot of this will get some ideas going as well!
As far as what we have coming up...
- Cleaning up some old threads, deleted members, etc.
- A manual activity check for those who aren't around
- Random roleplay events
- Random RP-Buddies
- Posting Challenge
- Some sort of community fun event
