Retiring Staff Member and Characters

Alright, so here's the big promised news that has kind of held us all up for the last few days as things have been worked out:

Captain is stepping down from the staff and retiring from Time, Space, & Chips.

We have been discussing this for the last few days (due to the pain in the neck timezone restraints), and she has decided to leave. She is facing some real life difficulties and feels that it would be best if she did in fact leave. Her characters, The Doctor and Evelyn Scarlett, will no longer be around. She was a huge asset to the site and has been around from the very creation of TSC from over a year ago. She will be greatly missed.

Concern about 'The Doctor'

Alright, so some of you probably are worried that we will no longer have Captain playing with us, meaning no more player for the Doctor. However, don't fear! I've already taken care of this situation and have found someone to take the spot already before I announced this. A player by the alias Cookie will soon be joining us as The Doctor.

This, of course, means that we will have a difficult transitioning period, having to start a new Doctor. She will be joining us, so I, and hopefully you all as well, will help her become integrated into the site, its plot, and our community. I ask that you welcome her and make her feel comfortable here. She is about to start up university soon, however (we all have great timing, yes?), so it might take a little more time than usual. Please be patient, and try not to overwhelm her. If she makes a small mistake because of something we overlook in telling her, please, be nice about it and gently correct it - no need in getting upset around here over little mishaps.

If you have any previous threads with Cap that you find it absolutely necessary to finish, please either PM me or Cookie (once she joins us after I delete Cap's materials). Otherwise, as I said before, please try not to overwhelm her as she joins in. It's hard to pick up someone else's major canon in the middle of things, and we want to make this transition easy for all of us.

Activity Concern

If you're new and looking around, or a member already and are worried, don't be! We are quite active and whatnot, but many of our members are facing a few end-of-the-summer sort of items. We have some people moving for school, just starting back and needing to straighten things out, a couple of people with medical issues, and things similar. Things are still running, and should be picking up within the next couple of weeks!
