Bored, bored, bored, bored- b o r e d .

Young light blue eyes stared at the ceiling, with a vaguely disconnected look about her face. Having gotten lost in some sort of daydream for the past ten minutes or so, her fingers toyed with the pen she had in hand almost absent-mindedly.

She was supposed to be working –and she was not. But at least she’d done her part, which was to attend her medical practice for her daily two hours of GP required of her. And for three weeks she’d sat right there on her desk, like the good obedient person that she was, waiting patiently for someone to arrive with some sort of disease.

Anything –absolutely anything would have sufficed: small fever, cut on the arm, regular time travelling flu, your usual migraine, what have you.

But she was obviously doing something wrong.

Lydia dropped her back again against the black leather of her armchair with a very bored huff. Placing the pencil back on her desk, and closing the vademecum that had entertained her for a long hour and a half that day, the petite girl started spinning the armchair around its axis until she could find something else to entertain the mind.
