Alright, so you guys can slaughter me now. It's been two months since I've done updates, and I've been an absolutely terrible admin in that time period. I'm pretty behind on things, though I'm slowly but surely catching up! Lots of little things here.

Updates

There are a couple of contests that were going. However, I will be wrapping those up soon. There are only two entries in the two writing contests, but I will go ahead and go to voting now. Afterwards, I'll put up some fresh ones.

As I mentioned before, just wanted to let everyone know that I am sorry that I slowed down greatly in keeping up with the site. Things are incredibly hectic at school, but I think I'm getting a little better at keeping up. Posting is just the main thing that's hard to keep up with now!

Also, I've been meaning to do this as well. I have talked to Liz, who was a co-admin with me. Due to a busy real-life schedule, she will actually be switching places with Vivo. Vivo will now be a co-admin with me, while Liz will be a moderator now. Unfortunately, Vivo is crazy busy as well right now, due to marching band season, so just have patience! Liz will still be able to many of the things that we have designated to co-admin duties, though, since she did have the job before. Just letting you know that that switch is being made.

The Doctor - a HUGE welcome to Maz!

Last time, we had lost Captain who played the Doctor, and I left everyone under the assumption that Cookie was coming to take her place. I'm really sorry, but that never happened. She was too busy, BUT... she did find us a replacement - Maz!

As I said last time, we will have a difficult transitioning period, having to start a new Doctor. She will be joining us, so I, and hopefully you all as well, will help her become integrated into the site, its plot, and our community. I ask that you welcome her and make her feel comfortable here. I have just sent her a pretty huge PM that catches her up on the main events of the site and some of the main things about the Doctor's role here. If she makes a small mistake because of something we overlook in telling her, please, be nice about it and gently correct it - no need in getting upset around here over little mishaps.

If you have any previous threads with Cap that you find it absolutely necessary to finish, please either PM me or Maz (she has her Doctor's account up and accepted!). Otherwise, as I said before, please try not to overwhelm her as she joins in. It's hard to pick up someone else's major canon in the middle of things, and we want to make this transition easy for all of us! However, we're incredibly excited about having a new Doctor, and Maz seems to be fantastic from what we've seen so far!

Concern for the Final Tennant Specials

Since Waters of Mars will be coming soon (November 15th!), I decided that now would be a good time to mention this. As we did with Children of Earth (though the episodes were much closer together in airing), we will wait until the episodes are completely played out before we decide what we will adapt on the board! It will definitely happen for the Christmas and following episode (I've heard that it's on New Year's?), but we'll just see how Waters of Mars end. From some of the rumors I've seen, we might just have to wait for all three to be played out before we adapt anything at all. And REALLY depending on things, we might just have to wait until Series Five to adapt anything. I almost would hate to ask Maz to regenerate the Doctor as soon as it happens in the show, as we won't properly see Matt Smith do his Doctor personality until the season starts. We'll just see how it goes, however. Just thought I'd make mention of this!

Activity Concern

If you're new and looking around, or a member already and are worried, try not to be! I think everyone slowed down when school was starting back for them (I know it did for me!), but hopefully I can draw them back now that things should be a little more settled down. I will be sending out a mass PM this weekend so that hopefully many of our members will come back and continue rp'ing! I'll also be catching up on advertising as well!

- A surprise that will happen around Thanksgiving! This will be to go with our Six-Month Anniversary of the re-opening of the site! (though it's technically been up for a few months over a year!) Keep your eyes open!
