Alright folks, as I'm sure you know by now - hopefully
- this board has been under a 'no River unless specifically authorized' rule. This rule isn't being lifted - her character is almost as important as Rose, the Master, Romana or the Doctor. However, we are now holding auditions for those interested. Those of you wanting to try out for River please PM the profile to myself AND (not or, and) our beloved head admin; the Master.
A word of warning; as when I took up the Doctor, the audition process will be harsh and our expectations for the character will be steep. Don't do this if you can't handle the activity required, no one will think less of you... but if you take the character and THEN can't handle it (like the last two Rivers who didn't even finish their audition) then it's not going to work.
One last thing, whoever plays River will have to deal - not just with the Master, but with me as well. So if you don't like me or my writing style [again, not thinking any less of you here - I take some... getting used to
] be forewarned that I WILL have a large amount of say in your handling of River and the plots you do with her. I'm not looking to do a ship-fest with River, and no, before you ask, I'm not trying to god-mod YOUR character. But, I do want to keep the interactions between her and the Doctor as close to the show as possible
you won't see any Theta spawn I promise you that
nor will River be alllowed to 'mother' any fanon spawn of her own... and, yes, she is still going to die, the River you will be playing will be the River we see in the two Doctor Who shorts that were released in January

you won't be allowed to play the River we see earlier in the series (unless its part of a plot) because we need her to remain (somewhat) linear for the ease of our RP board. From the perspective of YOUR River, she will just now be beginning the 12,000 life sentences; in other words, pre-vortex manipulator... not that that should bother her, since she seemed fully capable of coming and going as she wanted LONG before the vortex manipulator
simply staying in Stormcage out of guilt for what the Silence forced her to do... and because she doesn't want them to come after her again.
