Idea for Subplot 01, Torchwood 3 and Torchwood 21

The Far Side of the Moon

Upon picking up a strange reading on their equipment just outside the city, Torchwood Cardiff sends out a couple of members of their team to investigate. The field team comes upon a meeting of sorts held by a group of strange reptilian aliens that they have never seen before. The group scatters, but not before Torchwood manages to catch one of their members, whom they take back to the Hub for questioning.

The alien, an Anatox of the Anatoa race, eventually leaks bits and pieces that they are able to translate. They find out that their true base of operations is not on the Earth - it is, in fact, on the moon. They had set up on the far side of the moon that no one sees, and their detection had been avoided by negative signals they themselves bounced back with satellites. However, the Torchwood team still cannot figure out what the aliens want with Earth.

A few of the members head up to Torchwood 21, the International Space Station, to figure out their next plan of action. They find out that the Anatoa want nothing to do with Earth - in fact, they want something that the moon possesses, a certain element known as Helium 3, to further their research and use of nuclear fusion. Their mining operation is starting to swing full, but they're starting to find humanity a threat to their search for energy. The teams join together to stop whatever alien threat the Anatoa may possess, and they must do so before they decide to take any further action.

Alright, so this is our first Subplot idea! I came up with the frame and Captain filled in the core with the science and whatnot. I would love feedback! If you have any further ideas or problems with this, please let us know! I'll probably put this up either today or tomorrow for Torchwood to start.

Well for me, I like the premise. Course one thing, if Ianto is in TW3, which he is, he's a time lord. Might've seen them before or know of them, being the archive.

Being evil, what if they aren't working on their own? What if something is ... controlling them? Even if they don't know it? what's controlling them can be left vague for plot works, but one idea is that they are being controlled by daleks OR some rogue time agents who are seeking out new sources of power to help root out the last of the time agents alive.. (the seven known plus the two in TW retired)

could lead to minor battles, subterfuges, and all sorts of fun-ness.... just an idea.

Oh, I quite like the Time Agents idea. I really would like to get some more on here, the other ones that are known alive. I was going to make one once... There could be some sort of alliance between some of them... Anyway, point is, I'd love to have some but we don't. Still, that's not necessary for this plot, but I like the way that that idea is headed. And maybe we can get some in the future so we can carry that plot further.

Perhaps the reason they are doing this is research is that their species is known to have speciality in sciences? This led whatever Time Agents to hire them in the first place, since perhaps they need some more energy for whatever they're planning...

Anyway, this all could be background that could slightly be touched upon or at least worked upon in the future. Fantastic, that could be fun. Might even work its way into one of the next current board-wide plots if we play it right.

And Ianto can probably know a little about them, like their science specialty and whatnot. That works.

*salutes* on SS we have time agents who speak of what really happened and of those who stay alive to rebuild and avoid the rouges... hence the idea... course the ones who are talking know Ianto and Jack. one knew Jack a lot but was the one who was ordered to take his memories.. fun times.. Eppy's met her. Major McAllister Torchwood three's unit liaison and time lady, daughter of president romana... heh

Sounds like a lot of fun! We really do need some Time Agents, though. Hmm ...
