Despite having eleven years to fight with my TARDIS. I have been COMPLETELY unable to remove the circular design of the main service roundels - or the grating that originally dominated the whole console room of the TARDIS. Luckily though, I've managed to convince the ship herself to limit the roundel design to the console room and the grating now only encircles the floor of the console itself. However, an annoyingly bright reflection from the heart of the ship herself constantly beams out of the floor grating, though this has proven useful when I loose lighting in the TARDIS... it has also proven annoying when I'm trying to read the console print-outs.
(OOC: Tip to a dear friend and traveling companion - see if you can spot a familiar instrument just for you
As you can see, these are the inner-most area's of my TARDIS. The design is heavily reminiscent of the original mk forty design with many of the flaws ironed out. It is, I must sadly admit, rather limited as a servicable 'ship' and more inclined towards a home. Which is what it has been during the past eleven years - however, I have been VERY careful to maintain repairs on my chameleon circuit. The time lords never did work out at what age - or what flaw - allows a TARDIS to just choose a form it likes and stick with it. I certainly have no intention of allowing my TARDIS to undergo such silliness.
Hidden Outer Monitor:http://www.interocitor-media.com/tardis/tardis2002/early.jpg
Unlike the more contemporary re-designs many TARDISes underwent during the Last Great Time War (to protect against the invasion of Dalek computer viruses) my TARDIS retains a monitor capable of viewing the outside. As can be seen from the last shot I took (while I was undergoing an upgrade of my own - hence the removal of half the console) the monitor retracts into the ceiling and is capable of viewing things that are very far off... even old class-mates.
