lol copy-pasting from another forum
Anyway I was doing some mouse-drawn sketches, trying to make myself draw faster and looser and be more expressive (like the artists I admire most are!)
Linked for large size (only 40kb, though).

I tried to do a more dynamic version of the "STARMAN PUNCH" thing. Maybe I'll clean it up a little and color it. The first version (SGD uncut bonus content!!!) was boring as hell (and had minor anatomy issues with the hand, and although I liked the coloring it could've been better), so I tried to make it more dynamic. Ace has his sleeves rolled up, if you can't tell. Maybe I'll color this version and make it all WOOSH SPEEDPAINTING DYNAMIC~

These probably count as sketches but I'll eventually put some "real" drawings up, right now I'm trying to figure out how to keep the looseness and energy in sketches in my "real" drawings because these are really fun

Yeah, those are basically sketches. For HUGE SKETCH THING, I'd recommend not using the one-sized pencil tool to draw. Atleast, not in paint. Try using somtehing slightly bigger, like we do for SGD, or a different program so the line'll atleast be smooth. Your shading is getting better, as can be seen on the ball, but the shape is pretty terrible. Also it looks to me like the lips are a little too pointy. That just might be my preference though.

Also I like the 'new punch' image. Though the starman doesn't seem to have enough of a reaction.

They're both pretty cool. I particularly like Spade. However I must note there is a huge issue of lightsource with that image, in that, it doesn't really seem to have much of one, with the exception of a few small places, such as his hand. The face, despite said issue isn't blemished much by it and still looks quite good - Though the hair is a bit bland. The gun too, is fine.

Its the coat that suffers the most. The shading on the coat seems random, unorganized and sort of like a 'last-minute' touch-up. The dominant coat color there should be darkened and a brighter shade should've been added in, in order to accentuate where the light-source would be hitting, or to accentuate the wrinkles. Alongside this, the chest pocket seems to be just 'disapear'.

There is of course also the issue of the awkward round elbow and the gritted teeth with a cigarette. There are also a lot more skin shades then there are hair and coat, which is awkward as the coat/hair palette is much more dominant and present as opposed to the few patches of skin. It is, however, still good and an improvement. I'd simply work on those issues for your next drawings.

---

The robot one is nice. There should be a few small shades in between the black and white for the shine, or perhaps blurred a little more. The kid on him however, his proportions are a little off (particularly, look at the left leg), the shorts are done terrible and he is too small and blurry to really be able to make out much of anything.

Otherwise, I can definitely see the improvements in your art. Just work on making it more consistent.
