The Rules

I know the rules can get a little boring some of the time, but if you don't follow them, you'll get a ban. First off I might just ignore it. But if it continues I'll ban you. Then the bans will progressively get longer and longer, the more you continue until eventually *Poof* no more account, no more access to the forum, IP address banned.

_____
First of all, god-modding. This is basically controlling what another character does during a roleplay. If it is something simple, such as a hand gesture of facial expression, it can be bypassed. Though if it were something such as in a fight between two characters, then that would be classed as god-modding to me. Other Modrators and Administrators may not be so lenient. They have their own opinions on god-modding, as you may, also. Though their word is final unless you or another member can bring up a good enough argument to allow you to be unbanned which you may do in our banning discussion forum.

Mutant powers and mutations do have limits which have been discussed in the past. When creating an application form, please add your characters weaknesses. No character is in full control of their powers, not even some of the best. This rule doesn't always count for Canon characters, if their weaknesses cannot be found online.

Try and respect other members. Someone was banned from a forum a while ago for arguing with the owner, saying they didn't know "sh*t" about X-Men compared to them. They got a short ban. Only until the 17th of June. 2057.

When registering, feel free to be any affiliation such as X-Men, Brotherhood or Neutral. (See this post for details) If you have any questions about any affiliations which do not seem to have some form of headquarters, please contact an administrator.
Note: We do not accept custom affiliations yet. If the forum becomes a little more active, then we may regard allowing one or two.

If you are contacted by an administrator or moderator do not ignore it. Try and abide by whatever they say, unless, of course, it is something idiotic such as "kill your character so i can pwn joo!!11!". If you are ever spoken to like this by a moderator or administrator, please inform me of this by forwarding the pm or printscreening it and adding it to a paint document and uploading it to some form of image hosting service such as Photobucket or Image Shack.

There are no surviving Canon characters. They were all wiped out during the hunting, therefore you cannot be a Canon. Your character may be related to a Canon character, if you wish. Though I do expect a good explaination as to how they survived.

Applications are based mainly on the information given. The more detail and information given, the more chance that you'll get accepted first time. If your application is not up to scratch, an administrator will ask you to update it, according to their notes. If your application is left incomplete for a extended period of time, it will be moved to the rejected applications forum and your account will be deleted.

Basic Roleplaying Information
This may seem obvious but you have no idea how many times it happens. Don't leave people with new posts where they ave to change to say "[[IGNORE]]" because it's simply rude. Before starting your own topic, check the active topic list which the link for can be found at the bottom of the page, above the online users. Also, if someone has to go offline, don't just leave the thread because they're leaving. Just continue when they get back.

Don't try and throw a topic miles out of context. If you're wanting a fight scene or something, speak to the topic creator before you actually join.

If you're a Canon character, try and stay in character. Their habits and quirks, any frequently used sayings they may have, etc. We're not going to see Wolverine saying he's quitting smoking and dancing around in a tutu, now are we? So try and stay in character. Which also goes for original characters. Stick to what you've put in your application. Don't decide to change.

Format your posts sensibly. Use correct punctuation and paragraphs as noted here.

Posts must be no less than six lines. A lot can be said and done in the thread then I will delete your post and expect you to write it up again in more detail.

Sexual relations are allowed. Though don't go into gruesome details. Please say in the topic title or description [MATURE] or at least [M] to let others know that there might be detail. An alternative could be to say that your character woke up the morning after.

Signatures and Avatars
The thing with the signatures that you use is that they do have restrictions. One thing is, just don't use an image of your character. Either ask someone to make one for you or don't have one; though you may use up to eight small 100x100 images. The max. size for a signature may be 500 x 400 maximum, as long as it doesn't stretch the board. If an administrator asks you to either re-size or remove your signature, make sure you do so.

Lastly, if you're in doubt of anything which isn't noted above or in any of our posts, ask! Send any of our Moderating team a private message and we'll get back to you ASAP.
