Congratulations youaremysunshine, our August 2008 Member of the Month!

Laura, also known as youaremysunshine, has been around since the VERY beginning. Yes, ever since UltimateStorylist was only an idea that floated around in her mind; a brilliant idea, mind you, and one that has evolved into something incredible. Which is why the other staff here at the UltimateStorylist have decided to name her MotM, and all contribute a little something.

cityonahill01 – Not only is Laura an incredibly visionary admin, but she's also extremely understanding and a great friend. Laura always gives 100% to the website even when she's busy with her own life. This website wouldn't be the same without her! Well, it also wouldn't exist, but you get the point. I love you, Laura!!

dancesandsways – I’ve known Lau for a very, very long time, and in that time I’ve only learned more and more of what a wonderful, incredible person she is. She is always there when you need her, in terms of the website and if you’re just feeling like crap. She’s done an incredible job with the website and messageboard, more incredible than I ever could have imagined, and she’s kept it running smoothly! She’s always open to suggestions and is quick to reply to PMs. Everytime she does something new she wows me again—so I just wanted to say thank you, Lau, for being absolutely incredible and the best ‘boss’ I could have ever asked for.

HauntedElegance – Ever since this forum has been founded she's been on top of things, taking care of everything, and just helping this little community remain what it is - a great place for finding good stories to read, improving upon your own writing and the best of all - making friends. And she's a great friend herself. She had what we looked for in our boss, knowing when to put her foot down and tell us just what we were doing wrong, yet still give out praise when we worked hard Thanx Lau

Seya! – When I first joined the Ultimate Storylist, I was, like most of the regular members I suppose, quite intimidated by Lau. You know, when you just join a forum, you're always a bit afraid of the admin and you do whatever it takes to keep out of trouble. Well, that was my thought anyway. But as days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I started growing very fond of Lau. Really, she's not as scary as she sometimes sounds .
When I finally became a moderator (I was so happy when that happened!) I got to talk to Lau on a more regular basis. Whenever I needed advice or whenever I was going through a difficult period in my life, she was there. She's just an overall good person and I consider myself lucky to know her. I hope I can be around the forum for a couple more years and I know that with Lau around, I'll always feel welcome here. I know it sounds a bit cheesy and I wish there was something else I could write, but this is just the way I feel! Congratgulations on making it Member Of The Month

thelovinspoonful – We all know Lau is the mastermind behind U!S, but I think few of us realize the time and effort she puts into both the forum and the website for our sake. She's an amazing girl, a wonderful friend, and she's got beaucoups of talent out the wazzou. In short, this whole paragraph is an understatement to the kind of person Lau is, much less how much effort she makes to let us all have a little fun. Love you Lau!

xiahzeuni – Lua is never a dominating dictator, she's all ears for new ideas and opinions, which is a great quality in a leader. She's never shot down an idea without clear reasons, and she's always been looking out for the good of the site. She's a warm-hearted person, and she is always there to talk to whenever I have a problem. I've known her for three years now, and we've both seen each other through ups and downs.

Walking..Into..Walls – Lau is my fellow brummie, and that in just itself makes her cool. She's amazing and honest. She'll always give out her advice to people who need it. I think she's the best admin US could have. One day we are going to go and get a cup of tea. I love Lua.

wolf.in.flesh – Lua is one of the kindest, most forgiving people I know. She has tackled this huge task of running this site with enthusiasm and succeeded in giving us something to cherish for the rest of our lives. I can't say enough good things about this woman and I don't think we could honor her enough. She's deserved this from the first one we did, and every single one since.

Even some of our members wanted to have a say!

brokenxmelody – I think Lau is absolutely the sweetest person I've ever met. She's always there for people and always doing what she can to reply to posts giving advice or just a listening ear. She keeps the UStorylist running smoothly and keeping it as fair and neat and clean as she possibly can. =] I loveeee her.

tanglemoondemon – First off, Laura, you are a brilliant administrator.
I, personally, know how much you've worked on this place and getting things ready for this place, as I've worked with you a few times (Laura you know exactly what I'm talking about, XD) and she pays a great attention to detail when getting plans ship-shape. Her devotion to this place, nursing it for all these years, well, Laura I look up to you in several ways - surprising for someone I've never met. I wish I could be devoted to something for so long. The fact that you have been so devoted is so heartwarming, and so is talking to you. And goodness, I'm sooooo excited when the staffies planned this. You are so deserving of this award and I hope it's a surprise for you that is equal to all of your planned surprises for all us members that you have pulled in the past.
Take care, and I'm glad you and the Ultimate Storylist have both made it this long - which certainly wouldn't have been possible at all without you. I'm currently overloading with secrets right now, so I'm going to stop before my arm gets any sorer (word?) from pinching myself.
I love you dear, and as long as I can I'd be happy to help you out over and over again, I also hope you understood the pinching reference.. <3

Lau. It's actually quite difficult to get everyone to meet deadlines. Hahaha and I would know... but everyone did it and I hope you like your little surprise!!!! And I hope you didn't read about it for the couple days it was up in the staff room before I was like "WAIT... IT COULD BE A SURPRISE!" and deleted everything like a madwoman. lol. But you probably saw it, so at least you didn't know HOW we were gonna do it.

This month was bigger than we thought eh? Surprise for everyone with the layouts (including the staff, they didn't know!) and a surprise for me haha wowww.

You guys have made my entire month (nah, you've made like... however long this place stays around, which will hopefully be a very long time!).

cityonahill01 - You're wicked. Thank you for the lovely words. You're one of the newest members of staff, but you're a great part of the team. Also, thank you for the video book reviews, you cannot believe how excited I was when you made them. Seriously. You always seem so smiley, which is a good thing to have in the midst of stress and deadlines!

dancesandsways - You work so hard on this place! I still think you're overloading yourself, but I'll appreciate anything you add to this place. You always do SotM and you always do everything on time, and to a very high standard. Thank you for all the hard work and for having good stories to read in the 'Never Been Kissed' thread

HauntedElegance - I don't want to start sounding repetitive, but you all work so fucking hard here! So I thank you. You're wonderful, and thank you for making all of the MOTM banners since I gave up doing them! Your graphics are beautiful too!

Seya! - I love our random MSN talks about a bunch of... stuff really You have the best taste in music and you're going to do great in college! You've been round for quite a while now, thank you for everything!

thelovinspoonful - Oh my days. Where do I start with you?! I swear you work harder than me most of the time. You're so organised. You actually have a binder full of notes for this place. Thank you for your organisation because I would have messed up without you reminding me of things! And you've heard many many rants about boys, thank you for listening and for making me realise that certain people weren't good enough for me hehe. This quote is snatched off your myspace, but I think it sums our talks up nicely!

xiahzeuni - I have to say this first. You bring out the sandwich in me! You do, you do. Every time I'm talking to you (when I've woken up round lunch time, feeling lazy and half asleep) I'm eating a sandwich. I never eat a sandwich any other day. Lol. Haha enough about that. yes, you've been there through a lot of my rants. You've really helped me in my life, and I realise that all boys (except my boyfriend) have cooties, and suck (again, except my boyfriend). You're always so bouncy and always suggesting new things, thank you

Walking..Into..Walls - Yay! My fellow brummie! It's so strange having one British staff member, and she ends up not living far from me at all! I always think of tea when I talk to you, we really need to go find a nice cafe in Brum don't you think? You're a star Keely, people put you down, but keep your chin up. You're a star.

wolf.in.flesh - You're also a very valued member of staff, thank you for all the hard work in everything you do. I also have to mention what a brilliant artist and writer you are (yes, I've been peeking at your website!), you've got talent!

brokenxmelody - I like our myspace messages, I like chatting about random crap and giving each other advice on boys and other various life chats. You really do help, thank you for being so kind and caring.

tanglemoondemon - A big thank you to you for creating the past layout, as well as the current one (including the forum skin!). You work so hard and you're such a busy person. You're ever so talented and you're lovely to talk to. I cannot believe we managed to keep the new layout a secret. I was almost busting at the seams haha. Thank you so so much, especially at such short notice! I'm so envious that you can create such beautiful websites. I'm also jealous that you get to buy all the threadless shirts you want because I need a special credit/debit card to buy them, and you've got loads *boohoo* lol.

A big thank you to all of you guys for keeping active around the board. It's like one big family and I love it. I hope that one day we can do a kind of re-union and probably look at each other for 10 seconds thinking how strange it is to all meet up finally, then laugh and get on like we've been chatting for years hehe. I really do hope for that re-union one day. Thank you for making this site better than ever, and we hope you enjoy all of the new features and also the new look that we've created for you guys!
