Welcome to London, England. It is the year 2010 and the paranormal are now common knowledge. Other creatures such as angels, demons, vampires, and werewolves are coming out into the mainstream. Some are accepted by humankind while many still are not. However, the supernatural don't only have the "civilians" to deal with. There are also hunters out there, seeking a thrill or revenge.
In England, it is 16 to smoke, vote, join the army and consent to sex. It is 18 to purchase cigarettes and to drink.

Gregorius Bruce Heath Grumpy, Lazy, Generous, Fierce, Private
MY NAME IS Bruce. I AM Twenty Seven YEARS OLD
AND I LIVE MY LIFE AS A Werepanther.
Gregorus Bruce Heath goes by BRUCE only. Not even his mother is allowed to call him Gregorus and no one calls him Greg, or Greggy, no one. He doesn't lie, is often too honest for most people but is very adept at not lying and still giving people the wrong idea.
Bruce is generally very prickly and often rubs everyone the wrong way. It is not out of some masochistic need for fighting or even a misanthropic attempt to isolate himself just simply that his personality is difficult to get along with. Though if you do get along with him you'll notice he's as soft, cuddly, and squishy as a lap cat (and as temperamental, stand-offish, and diva-like as any well spoiled house cat.) Though what few realize is that he is easy going when he can be. He has a tendency not to panic (unless Mari is after him) and can keep pretty level headed. He enjoys nothing more than he enjoys a nice warm and sunny day, a body of water to swim in, and an endless supply of icy cold milky beverages.
Bruce is oh so very difficult to get along with. It's not that he tries to be such a challenging friend it just happens. In part it is his mentality that he wont compromise even an inch to get along with people and part of it is that he is sarcastic, sardonic, darkly humored, and prone to... arguments. He does meet a lot of interesting people but he never tries too hard to befriend them. The way he sees it if they want to be near him it's their choice, he isn't going to force his presence... unless he wants to. He can be pushy with friends, insulting but he means it all in good love. He has a big soft spot for the few friends he does have and loves them dearly, going to their rescue at risk of life, limb, and tail.
He is very protective of his friends.
Bruce makes enemies easily. In fact, it's his specialty. Something about this late twenties author makes people go ape shit to hate him. He is the only author he knows of who's hate clubs not only outnumber his fan clubs but also attend all of his book signings. He actually gets pretty decent turn out from them. He is also the only one at his publisher's office who had the all time record for slaps in one day. The total was seventeen. Don't believe him? They've got the security tape framed on the wall. Though Bruce has never been the popular kid or the one with all the friends. Even in school he always had more people who disliked him than liked him. He'd get into fights by sitting down for lunch. There has always just been something about Bruce that rubs people the wrong way.
While Bruce doesn't have many loves he does have many single serving lovers. Often times Bruce sort of just stumbles into prospective tangos in the sheets. He is often oblivious of people who are interested. While Bruce doesn't discourage repeat performances they rarely happen. He really would like someone to have around, a partner of sorts (he guesses) but he's never really been good at dating. He sees lovers differently than others. He thinks of the two as being separate, independent forces who happen to like to do the nasty together and get along well enough to hang out with each other. He will never be one of those men who are publicly or overtly affectionate. He's the type who show their love by remembering little things like to order an extra serving of sweet and sour chicken or picking up a movie in their favorite genre. He is attentive and caring but he is not the type to run around screaming his love and joy, though if he does feel it those who know him can easily tell.
Bruce has nothing against other species of anything. Not really. He believes that animals (humans, demons, shifters, vampires..etc) are all their individual selves and not some species title. He is very much not a speciesist and is going to stay that way because he knows that everyone has the ability to be a monster. What you physically are has nothing to do with who you are. Well, it does, but not in a way that matters enough to denounce an entire species because of a stereotype. Bruce tries not to judge people simply by what they are; he prefers to judge them on who they are. Because what someone is is never reason enough to hate them. Plus there are ample other reasons Bruce can find to hate someone besides something as silly as what species they are.
