How to make a post/link or insert image

:FYI:

POSTING

1. Make sure you are registered and logged in

2. Everything underlined is a link, including member's names. Don't be afraid to click on things to see where it goes, just use the "back" button on your browser to return.

3. Find the forum you want, if you want to make a new topic click the "New Topic" button found in the upper right hand corner of the page.

4. To add a a post to an already existing topic, Inter into the topic you want and again, click on the "add Reply" found in the upper right hand corner of the page.

5. Play with the format menu, get use to it, it won't bite, be creative, and expressive. :spiteful:

How to put in a Link

1. Open window to page you want to link to.

2. Highlight and copy address

3. Now open a reply window to the forum you want.

4. Click on the blue h:// button and a menu appears in the upper left corner of your screen.

5. Now hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and hit the letter "V"
(Ctrl+V=paste)(Ctrl+C=copy)

6. Hit "Okay"

7. Now type in Link, Click here, Read me or what ever even hit Ctrl+V and show the address.

8. Hit "okay" again and the link will show up in the dialog box as html.

POSTING AN IMAGE

There are at least 2 different ways of doing this. This is the easiest.

• Select the photo you want to post in a seperate window
• Right click on the image
• Go down to where it says "Properties"
• Highlight the (URL) Address then hold down the "Ctrl" key and hit the "C" key. This copies the address for you.
• Now go to your posting window and click on the "IMG" formating" A prompt will come up and ask for the URL
• now hold down the "CTL" key and then press the "V" key. This action pastes the url. Now hit the "OK" and you're good to go.

If you choose you can have a host site like Photobucket.com

1. Copy the pic to your desktop
2. Open account with host
3. Add photos to host

Now to post pic here...

1. Start a reply to topic
2. Have another window open to the pic you want at the host site
3. Click on IMG button (between http:// and the @ on your code buttons)
4. Copy the URL to the Script Prompt. Do not use the Tag or the IMG addys, they won't work.

That's it.

ADDING VIDEOS


After choosing the video at YouTube that you want to post...look next to the video near the bottom right corner there's something that says "embed this video"

Copy that long line of code by highlighting it and the holding down the "Ctrl" key and hit "C" This goes to the clipboard.

Then go to your post and paste this code, hold down the "Ctrl" key and hit "V"

Now you must manually place the dohtml code at the beginning and end of the video code like this
