C'mon guys, you know how this works. You'll get my comment in the form of a ridiculously long IC rant, I can't do it, and full OOC reviews, I'd kill myself. However, in light of the phenomenal awesomeness that is Purgatory, I'm going to be doing Nothing But the Truth via special podcast edition. smile.gif

I normally don't comment on shows because, well, I always feel like what I have to say has already been said. But holy shit, holy shit and holy shit- this has got to be one of, if not, the best shows you've guys have ever put together. It may not have had the best match VWA has ever had, they may not have been any 5 star matches, but the sheer volume of 4 star, 4 and a half star matches on this card is simply astounding. You can tell there was massive dedication behind all of it. I mean, if I was a fan of this product in real life, I would have bought the PPV, bought teh replay, bought the DVD and played it until it couldn't be played anymore. This is why you guys are the best at what you do, and the reason everyone wants to be here. Again, holy shit.

Yeah, same as Phil #2. I also usually don't comment cause of not wanting to sound repetitive. You guys always seem to pull a surprise or two right outta the hat and this was no exception. Amazing effort as always and seeing Krystian win the Royal Rumble was the markout moment of the entire show. Been pulling for that character since seeing him debut in FTW in 2005. It's been awesome to see him evolve from a jokester character to Kryst. Amazing effort on the evolution, Pat... keep up the awesome RP's... an even bigger congrats to Erick Kennylz for pulling it off.

Okay, so... yeah. Maybe after hearing this, Phil will be properly motivated to do as I suggested last night so as to allow everyone the chance to properly bask in his responses instead of a white girl that's losing her voice trying to fill his shoes.

Kris reviews Purgatory! ...and rambles quite a bit along the way.

The rumble was done perfectly and that's something you can expect from the duo of Leppard, Shane, and not to forget; Jesse. My respect goes out to you all for putting so much effort in this federation. It's something I really appreciate and I hope you guys will continue to do so for a long time.

I truely enjoy being a part of this federation from the beginning that I came here with Brennan Knight. You guys give excellent service. Even when my computer was totally kadook, you guys still kept holding contact with me. And that's something I have great admiration for.

As much as I would like to, I honestly have to admit that I cannot write matches as much as I was intending to because I simply see my personal life above all and lately things just haven't gone the way I wanted to. I have a busy schedule but always try to get some free-time to max-out with promos. Writing roleplays is possible, but writing matches, I just cannot do it as much as I want to. I'm sorry for that.

The Bloodsport title is a accomplishment that I'm very proud of. I honestly didn't expect to win it this quick. I'm planning to hold it for a very long time and am willing to take on every challenge you guys put infront of me. I respect every opponent of mine and always hope that they do the same.

Like for example, I have alot of respect for Leppard his work. He keeps on impressing me with each of his roleplays whether it'd be Mike Omen, Steven Sands, or even Paige Michaels. happy.gif

That's why I enjoyed my match with him so much.

But the same goes for Rich who I've known now for pretty much since 2007 and he's the person that actually made me come to VWA. Pat is someone with a heavy schedule but still manages to pull it off. Well done, Pat. I'll always see you as a good writer and a good person.

Then we go on to the boss-man.

Shane Lawson.

I have in the very possesion something you have not and that is this very awesome game - bla, bla bla. Whatever. Shane is the guy who has built this e-fed from the ground, and that's must've been a damn difficult task to pull off. How long has this e-fed been around now? Since 2007? I don't really know, but it still has been one heck of a time. And you can all thank this man for it. My compliments towards Shane, for great work, for great managing, and for being a good fedhead.

I also would like to give a special moment to Alex; I was dissapointed with how you went into the title match but I will accept your apology. Everyone deserves a second chance. And I'm not even counting you out.

I came here with basically not knowing any of you except for Rich. And I'm very glad that I've atleast talked once to most of you. You all seem like a very good community.

Thank you.

Once again my compliments to each and everyone that has made this pay-per-view such a enjoy of a read.

I know I normally don't comment because I really can't come up with anything to say normally, but I might as well leave something for this show. This is the kind of show that shows people how far VWA has come. For those who have been here since VWA's birth and have watched it become what it is today, this show was a true indicator of where this fed stands today. Jesse, congratulations on becoming a part of the Brain Trust. Also, congrats to you, Shane, and Lepp for writing that entire Royal Rumble and making it as awesome as it turned out. Rich, big props for winning the World Title. Pat, I hate to see Laba fall but I'm really liking this twisted new perspective you've given to Kavella Kryst. Overall, this was probably, without a doubt, the best VWA show I've read yet. And if this is only a sign of things to come... VWA looks like it will have one hell of a bright future.

Oh yes. I'm feedbacking Purgatory. I don't feedback often cause let's face it, we all know i'm a mark for VWA and everything that goes on here, it goes without saying. But this PPV was pretty damn amazing, amazing enough to warrant a review from yours truly. It's nothing special (The review), except that the Brain Trust pushed the envelope this year, and it showed through. The last couple of PPVs were amazing, but this particular one just blew those out of the water, in my opinion. The Rumble was top-notch, and every other match following was perfect for what needed to be done. Congrats to all the winners, and with a PPV like this even the losers shouldn't feel bad. Everyone wins when the level of quality is so high.

That being said, I need to apologize. I need to apologize to Pat, Jacob and Rich, for recent no-showings that had occurred when we had matches against one-another. It wasn't because I didn't feel like writing, I couldn't. I've burned out, and I don't have the time I feel I need to write a promo of high-quality, or at least quality-enough to even have a hope in hell to contend with you three or the rest of VWA at this point. This is also why Purgatory is getting a quick review from me, compared to no review at all: It's my final PPV. It just so happened that Leppard beat me, and congrats to him. I think it's better that he DID manage to win, so that the ending went the way it did. I'm done with fedding until things kinda relax a little for me, but from what I see that won't be for a long time. It's been great with everyone in VWA, thanks to the Brain Trust for making it what it is today, the fedders for giving it life, and for Shane and Leppard who decided to pursue and create a place like this. It's only going to get better from here on out everyone, if this PPV is any indication. Trust the Brain Trust; They know what they're doing.

Guess who's back... sorta lol.

It's definitely exciting to see how far some of the handler's characters and VWA as a whole has come. The PPV had some of the best matches I've ever read. Keep doing what y'all are doing.

I'm late to the party. sad.gif

But there ain't no party like a Purgatory party cause a Purgatory party DON'T STOP! WOO WOO WOO!

....

.......

Just...don't ask questions. It's for the best.

Nah, I've been restricted to my internet obsessed little bro's desktop, so I'm only usually on in the mornings and at nights, so it's a little limited. But I knew I had to get a comment of some kind up since no one got to hear my reactions live to the PPV goodness. So this might be the shortest of my comments ever, but in a nutshell...just WOW. I was a little scared that since the Rumble secret was known to me (I was on the BT at the time it was discussed), I would feel a little flat about it....but hot DAMN, the Rumble was so well written in didn't matter. A text Rumble shouldn't feel like an hour long deal...but IT DID. The detail that was put into it, and the way the middle participants weren't skimmed over and forgotten about just to get to the end...it shows the dedication the staff puts in to make sure the product put out is very well done.

But my match of the night....was the Women's Title match, to me only perhaps, but reading that, it was done well enough to the point that you could literally feel the emotion, you could actually get behind Syn's dominance...which makes Paige's screwjob retention of the title that much more impactful, and makes you WANT Syn Skyler to be the Women's Champion. Great build, well written....good job you good writer you...whoever you were. tongue.gif

So...I fast forward, since I've got to get ready for work...to Rolento/Fireson.

sad.gif

See that.

That's my face right now.

For those that, I don't know, live under a rock...I have been Fireson's biggest mark since that red haired devil took a tumble off of a seven layer cage...EVER. Like, the biggest one...EVER. So imagine me having to promo to retain a title...and end all hopes of my favorite character holding the top VWA gold. It was painful. It was evil. It was absolutely malicious. It was....fun to write for? tongue.gif

Seriously, it kinda sucked, but I'm sure something will happen in the future to possibly reverse it if Jacob does find some kind of resurgence...or at least, I can hope.

In short form, congrats to all the winners, special shout out to our new World Champion, that damned street rat, Erick Kennylz tongue.gif. Eh...I guess I can push aside my inner Michael Black long enough to actually congratulate the handler himself, Mr. Rich lol. Good job, sir, hope you enjoy the run at the top and make it work. Mr. Laba I'm sure has a rematch clause...whether he wants to use it is another story I know, but we'll see.

Good job to all, everything was very good, I wish I had time to comment on it all...Fenix/Omen was vicious, the triple threat Bloodsport Title match was a disappointment for reasons we know, so on and so forth, but without a doubt...the best PPV in VWA history.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a high complement in and of itself.

Latest. Review. Ever.

Well, it's not a full review in fact. I rarely have much time for a full review of anything these days, but I can't not write SOMETHING about this show. It had everything, pretty much.

I'm glad Lockheart didn't win the Rumble, because it means that the #30 entrant, for the second year running, doesn't guarentee an automatic Championship spot at Pandoras Box. The slow transition of Krystian Kavella has been one of the greatest pieces of character development of all time and shows no signs of stopping, especially with a guarenteed Main Event coming in the months that follow.

My involvement in the Rumble was pretty much as expected. Glad my character got to knock a few people out the ring. Anywhere higher than the position I entered would have been a plus considering how long I've been out of fedding for. To finish just inside the Top 10 having entered 13th was a good result.

The matches were astounding by and large as per usual. Obviously I'm writing this after Chaos went up but the Womens Championship match in particular and the rise of Syn Skyler is certainly something to keep going back to.

Also, congratulations to Rich, the latest in a line of brand new VWA World Heavyweight Champions. Proof that this federation gives a chance to be at the top to everyone that deserves it.

It's in the way that you look. It's in the books that won't read.
It comes and goes like a friend. It's with me right 'til the end
It's in the memories I've lost. It's concentrating too much
It's breaking down of relations and it's the beat of the clock
It's not being able to be explain or get your feelings across
It's in the pain that won't leave you. It's coming straight back for us
It's in a new lease of life and a search that ends well
It's in finding that change. It's being happy again
