Vampire Dust is an RP set in modern times (beginning specifically in 2009) but also covers everywhere from the now to the beginning of civilization itself. In this world, there really are things to look out for in the dark and while some will pass you by, there are those that will stop with the intention of getting a meal...or simply a kill. Vampires walk in the sunlight here and have stalked humanity for centuries, hiding underneath their various guises - but there are also the clans of the Slayers who rose from survivors of vampiric attacks to hunt their stalkers. Under the thrall of the moon lurk the Wolfkin, the lycanthropes of lore who are drawn into packs by birth or bite. Assisting in the fight against the darkness are Witches with their command of the elements and other powers amongst their varying sects - the longtime allies of the Slayers. Between these four races there has been a long feud and, while there have been many casualties, the war still rages on with warriors on either side ready to do battle. And caught in the middle of all this, whether aware or not of the danger, is Humanity - the vanilla humans who usually have no idea of what lurks in the dark. Yet there are still those that do not wish to fight at all amongst all of the races...only they are all too often crushed under foot by those that do.
So perhaps you will join us? Only choose your side carefully and where you shall stand.

New York University With more than 40,000 students enrolled, the school has a pretty big campus and a wide variety amongst those that grace its grounds. A few slayers, witches, and wolfkin in the city are on campus (even the occasional vampire may grace the academic halls with their presence as well) but there is no fighting on its grounds by unspoken agreement between all parties.

Bellevue Hospital Center The oldest public hospital in the US, boasting many accolades and success over medical milestones achieved. Just the place to go if you get injured on the job.
Beoir Aite A short stairwell leads down from the sidewalk to the sunken doorway with two handrails running down along the sides of the walls. An unlit neon sign hovers above the entranceway on the building's roof, reading "The Catshack" - a relic of some long ago occupant. To the left of the stairwell at its entrance is a carefully lettered sign which proclaims itself as "Beoir Aite" in Old English text with the words "Accorded Neutral Territory" underneath it in smaller, plainer text.

** This is a bar that caters specifically to vampires and wolfkin. Its wards allow in humans who are specifically told its location...and any daring slayer or witch that follows them close. **
The Good Omen A homey little bookshop with every kind of book one can think of...including a few occult ones kept in the back office that only real witches get let back to see. The owner, a tall blond man with violet eyes by the name of Abraham Baxter, is more often than not always in - and if he's not, he's out drinking with his rather creepy flame haired, trench coat wearing friend Kor Daldrin.
Nadine Untermeyer Library The local public library. Feel free to check out a book...or use it as a meeting place.

Caput Draconis A slightly rundown little corner café that will serve anyone and everywhere - so long as no one starts a fight. Anyone that starts up a scene within its walls or on the patio outside will be told very politely to get the hell out by way of the favorite frying pan of the owner - a sixtish wolfkin by the name of Miriam Irrans.

The Wasp Tucked into an old office building, this bar is a meeting place for slayers and witches alike. By activating its normally dormant wards, it can also be turned into a veritable fortress to keep vampires or wolfkin out...or within.
Eginyn Gwneuthurwr A small, nearly hidden shop owned by Wilhelm Bannon who offers his services to slayers, witches...and even the occasional vampire. His blades are not of the usual slayer make since he works without their enchantments but they are those any slayer in the city will suggest you get.
Clove Lakes Park A 191-acre park which contains a vast meadow, four lakes connected by streams and has rowboating and freshwater fishing, as well as an outdoor ice skating rink (in season). It also offers picnic grounds, playgrounds, a baseball field, nature trails, bridle paths, a cross-country course, and a restaurant.
Haven's Rest Cemetery One of the largest and oldest cemeteries around the city. Aged and new tombstones stand next to each other and a wrought iron fence surrounds the area. Fielded by looming oak trees, it retains a spooky aura at night.
If one needs to have a secluded meeting, this is the perfect place to go.

Kimberley Community College Located in the suburbs, it is a 2-year community college for people who can't afford NYU. Also has a sort of don't ask-don't tell policy about mysterious disappearances and such...
