It depends on what software you use.

I use photoimpression which gives me the resize option and usually resize by % (I have two options pixels and %) down to 20% if that looks ok I post it on here.

Thommo may do something different.

good luck

I don't know if what i have been doing is right or wrong. Nobody has complained yet so I guess it is not taking too long to download the photos.

I open the photos in Microsoft Photo Editor. They usually open at 25% in size. I then resize them, found in the Image drop down box, until they are smaller than the full screen when increased to 100%. The photos always seem to then get accepted when posting.

Also before resizing I crop the photo to remove any extra background etc. thats not req'd in the photo.

Hope this helps wink.gif

Hi all ,
I was taught another trick just the other day..
Just take your photo as normal on camera then save on to computer.

Then go back in to photo afterwards, "right click" on it then go into "open with" then choose paint

Then go into "image" then "stretch/skew"

As most normal pics are about 1.2mb on average

If you change the "stretch" only from 100% to about 50% it should bring the pic small enough to put in forum..
And save it so you can open it again

But if it is not quite small enough too fit (200kb ) just do it again with a new pic at about 60 %
or use already reduced pic and just reduce from 100% to 90% this time

It's easy once you know how
And they still look good with out cropping them
