I'm running a 10,000lb low mount winch in my Gu Patrol.
It seems a little slow and just doesn't cut the mustard.

Does anyone know about hotting these up would like about a 50% increase in pulling power?

Or should I sell and buy a 12,000lb?
Does a 12,000 lb fit in a GU patrol bar?
(Want to keep my airbag compatable ARB winch bar)

Thanks Stewy.H.

Norm Walters ran a twin motored low mount in the OBC a few years back. I believe it went super fast but that it did have some realibility issues. I dunno if you'd get 2 motors on your winch in the bar anyway.
Just mod the bar to suit a hi mount. It wont look any more "hoonish" than the scoop does laugh.gif

The scoop is going to be changed soon to a less hoony lookin item.
I know I'm a hoon, but I really don't want to advertise it!!!!

Looked at a Warn 12.0 XE on the web, and it pulls harder and faster for the same size. Has anyone had any experience of these.
Wouldn't mine upsizing anyways for when I'm towing the camper.

Thinking of going for a 12.0 XE (12,000lb) with 28m of 10mm rope and solid state solenoids.
