[Devilchick]

Warrior

We watch the storm ahead,
In a ship that seems not worthy to sail,
Just a carcass, grieving on the rhythm of the waves
Floating and hoping for it’s last battle,
The wood cracking, sighing under the pressure of it’s thoughts.
Letting it’s tears be one with the salty water,
A silent storyteller in the rush of emotions,
As they grow under the luring wind of seduction.

The spine of it’s being ready to give up,
As it has lost it’s dignity in a greedy treasure hunt,
Scared with wood carved memories,
Hopelessly reminding it of it’s defeats throughout the end of time,
Hoping for destruction in the ocean of worries.
A black horizon welcoming a soldier who’s lost it’s will to fight.
The wind whispering thoughts of insanity,
Tempting to let it’s defence go.

So easy to drown and never to sail again,
On the ocean that knows it’s story,
A funeral for a battleship it is not,
As it isn’t filled with glory and praise.
No wreck worth drowning as it is loved by many,
Time to turn the rudder, into the harbour of comfort,
And fight the storm within, while little rays of sunlight caress the mast,
The spirit of a warrior never dies.

thanks alot! I apreciate it....I have loads of other stuff on my computer...and I'm planning on writing another poem in english again. I sometimes write in dutch too. People have been asking for my poems...it's weird that people wanna 'own' my words.....but anyway I'm still waiting for my moment of inspiration and then I'll write something new. And yes I really wrote that.

thanks I really like writing poems...and several people asked me why I didn't send my poems to a publisher...but I just think I'm not good enough yet.
