Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization. UL develops standards and test procedures for products, materials, components, assemblies, tools and equipment, chiefly dealing with product safety including LED Spot light .
Zhaga is an international industry-wide consortium for standardization of LED light engines which will enable interchangeability between products made by diverse manufacturers. Zhaga standardization will greatly accelerate the adoption of LED lighting. UL has been named a Zhaga authorized testing center, which positions the UL as one of the most comprehensive LED testing organizations in the world. "UL has been a trusted member and supporter of the Zhaga consortium for many years and we are very proud to be named a Zhaga authorized testing center," said Alberto Uggetti, Vice President and General Manager, UL Lighting. "This authorization underscores UL's position as a key player in driving standardization and test compliance in the LED and lighting space." This new testing service offering will be available separately or as a bundle with other UL lighting industry services. |
