Heart rates, ranging from black(lowest) to red(highest); white represents a neutral feeling. Going in order of the heart rates, what they represent, and what mood they set, and what they do are as follows:

Black
The character hates anyone here. The actions and moods when associated with this person are usually hatred, angst, envy, and jealousy. A character would insult the hated individual without a thought.

Gray
Represents only a slight hatred. Moods and attitudes associated with a character in here are close to hatred, but not so much as to act upon the hatred.

White
This is the neutral zone. People in here are not hated or liked here. Characters that appear here are either acquaintances that were just met, or characters that are long out of contact.

Purple
This is the first level of friendship. Characters here are still acquaintances.

Blue
This is the second level of friendship. Characters here are common friends that you can hold conversations with but still do not divulge any personal secrets.

Green
These characters are your friends. The characters here are the ones you invite out and have casual fun with.

Yellow
Here are your good friends. These are the characters that you invite to your house and do favors for.

Orange
Here are your best of friends. These are usually long time friends. If these characters have problems, you help them, and they'll help you as well.

Pink
Have you ever had a crush? Well here are the characters you really like. This is the first level of love. Usually dating can start here.

Red
This is the top. These are the characters that you love. Characters in here are the ones that your character would die for. The last action of marriage is unlocked here.
