Antivirus Pro 2009 (the malware from Hell!)

Yesterday, I had the unfortunate opportunity to get to deal with this nasty malware. Not only does this virus try to worm your pc but it also has the unmitigated gall to try to identity theft also! It starts as a popup telling you your pc is infected with a spyware virus, it then offers to scan your pc for said spyware for free. It's too late baby by the time you got the popup...you got the malware! Now the Antivirus Pro 2009 is on your pc and disabled your regular antivirus program. Now the malware offers to fix your pc for 50$ (Antivirus Pro 2009) Ok the newbie user is sucked in, we give out our credit info and get our full worm version.....RIGGGHHHTTT! Now our user runs the new 50$ identity theft worm. I watched as this program ran and saw it try to remove windows reg keys, windows lcid keys and windows.exe proper not to mention trying to remove extreme windows 32.dll files. I then realized it was hard to remove without taking files with it. GREAT! We're into fun now... This malware wrapped it's self all about my pals pc, by me trying to delete the virus and re-install his AV program, I actually caused a worse problem. DOH!
Now I have to reformat my pals pc and start over fresh....Whoopee...

My sister just did battle with this one. Don't know how it got on the pc but we searched and searched for info on it. This site you provided is awesome and now in my bookmarks.
