Personality traits: Peter has always had a great memory for facts, which helped him excel academically and allowed him to skip grades; he will be in his final year of high school in the coming term despite only recently turning fifteen. His parents send him to camp in the hopes that he will make friends his own age. Peter couldn't care less how old his friends are, though, and will spend time with anyone he gets along with regardless of age. Peter loves to talk, but generally doesn't have many friends because a lot of people find him annoying. He loves words (and language in general) and has a talent for purposefully finding separate meanings in the things other people say. He spouts trivia at inopportune moments and lacks tact almost completely. Sarcasm has almost always been his first defense against teasing bullies, and as a result most of his humor is negative, self-depreciating, and often hurtful.
Peter often makes lists of things. He rarely writes them down, but they exist in his memory and he occasionally refers to them aloud i.e. "
Alien is in the top five of my all-time favorite movies" or "Things not to do in the woods: get lost, eat berries of questionable origin, suffer from exposure..." and "I'll add that to my list." It is his favorite way of organizing his thoughts and, for him, an entertaining way to keep himself from boredom when he has nothing else to do.
Peter can be elitist about a lot of things. He has strong opinions and feels his views are best. Music, Movies, Books, Sports, Politics- he understands that people will have other opinions about these things. He will even sometimes accept that they have a logical reason for their views. But that will not stop him from acting superior to them if they like, in his opinion, bad music, stupid sports, or politicians without brains.
